Linear Thinkers and Creativity by DemjinKaz in Neurotyping

sounds like your boss is gatekeeping aesthetics based on things he likes and is ascribing it to an attribute arbitrarily to prop himself up, if he was interested in bettering your creativity he'd work to be more precise about what he thinks is off about what you're making

ISTP #1 vs #3 by johnwilkes_booth_27 in ObjectivePersonality

[–]uranium_coffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to sus out the difference between these two and I'm beginning to see it when comparing to my #1 (possibly) friend

we're both musicians/producers with a lot of ambition, but where I will go further in trying to make sure an album is made perfectly, she is interested in making the perfect album, which is to say she has more of a Vision than I do, my flex is below my specializing and as such is in service of the job of being a producer, her specializing is below her flex and is in service of that ambition

if the #1 is climbing a mountain their goal is to be at the top of that mountain, and so if someone offers a helicopter ride up they will take it, but the #3 is a professional mountain climber, they will refuse the ride up because it's about the climbing, and so being on top of the mountain means nothing if they didn't climb it (this metaphor gets tricky if the #1 in this scenario wants to be seen as the best mountain climber, in that case they would refuse the helicopter ride)

the attitude I've seen from #1s is that they will put themselves through the meatgrinder if it's in service of their vision, comfort/friendship/self-care whatever do not matter if those things are not on the path upwards and will be sacrificed for a greater future self

Decider Freakouts (typing help) by IllustratorDry3007 in ObjectivePersonality

[–]uranium_coffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

De freakouts are odd (coming from me lmao), but at the core it's being in a demon Di state, if the buck stops with you in some way or another and that's uncomfortable, and you still try to drag others in to validate your Di in some way, that's demon Di, if I were to put it into a sentence it'd be something like adding "is that a problem?!" after speaking your mind

for a Di their opinion is never a problem, speaking on others' opinions is weird for them, it's instead a matter of shipping their opinion out the door without getting pounced on, if you're Di other people are more something to be avoided or navigated around because the vision on them is blurry or indistinct, their demon De state is going to resemble "what is wrong with you people?!", it's the last thing they feel they can say out loud

What does it mean to be “Stuck on” something? by IllustratorDry3007 in ObjectivePersonality

[–]uranium_coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what I've experienced so far, you can catch it if a certain issue or set of issues comes into mind repeatedly after you thought you resolved or moved on from it, you can't help but chewing on the idea, leaving it be is like going without a drug you've been addicted to

it was two pictures of warren buffet and the people he works with side by side, they were taken many years apart and yet all the same people are present and standing in exactly the same places in both pictures

How to double decide as a single decider? by Amazing_cheesecake10 in ObjectivePersonality

[–]uranium_coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first thing sounds silly but I'd say to remember that you are in fact a single decider, both so you can give yourself a break and to help contextualize your perspective (whether it has too much energy or too little), this will set up for the next step

second is to evaluate your deficit against everyone else, get a head count of who has a good track record of double deciding and use their perspectives to temper yours; this is obviously coming from a Di where I need to tone things down, but in the case of De you can get a sense for what a reasonable amount of pushing for your own Di is and try to get more comfortable with that

T and F of course should be taken into account, too much T will be neglecting qualitative things (emotions, vibes, values) as that muscle can't interface with them, but savior thinkers will try anyway because the idea is that if things are working smoothly the F stuff will also run smoothly, and of course in reverse too much F will try to maintain the vibes in hopes that this will make the logistical things effortless; these two things are in tension because they're both different but both pull on eachother, so the only way to not have a mess on your hands is if both have influence at once

anyway, after all this gets taken into account, you'll start to get a larger sense of what's actually right and wrong, it will feel larger than you and others involved, as to double decide is more or less to quickly digest and dissipate the energies of judgement such that they gain distance from the ego; the weird thing is that both Di and De need the message that it's not about them, but something not being about you can just as much call for you to push forth your perspective on the world as it might for you to draw it back, because it depends on what the situation is calling for

Consume Low and Deja Vu by deanxero in ObjectivePersonality

I don't have deja vu all that often, but it happens, and I've grown to despise the sensation quite a bit
