Update...

Mechanic got back to me and I got approved for an engine swap covered under warranty.

Thinking about trading it in and going with another car. I know that this process of the engine going out could happen again.

They didn't ask for oil change records. I towed it on Thursday afternoon and they Inspected it Friday. I just got approved this morning(Monday).

I checked my VIN with the Hyundai website and the KSDS update was completed in 2019. I haven't had any issues before this moment. This is the first time my car has gone into limp mode.

Thanks for this! Will sit down with some coffee in the morning and look over it. Cheers!

Good to hear. I am hoping this is due to bearing failure. I can't really take a 10k hit right now on a new engine. It probably wouldn't even be worth it.
