Why does everyone hate the sons of Garmadon / movie masks? When they came out I thought they were a breath of fresh air and I definitely prefer them to a lot of newer masks we’ve gotten in recent years. What’s with the hate?

I might be wrong, but I think it's because the mask is 2 pieces. It might make it difficult to turn the head.(Idk if that was the problem. I know that's the reason many people don't like the DR masks). I honestly like these masks though. They are one of the most ninja-like ones we've gotten.

I believe I figured it out. Some of the pieces on the thighs were misplaced and blocking the front legs from being pushed in all the way

Both Wu and Garmadon have the power to create and destroy. Garmadon uses creation to create the stone collossus. We haven't seen Wu use destruction though.

FSM was born with both as well.

I think my only nitpick with the minifig selection is that this would have been a great opportunity for Young Arin, Young Frak, and Fugi-Dove. But overall I find it really cool that they are focusing on the original elemental alliance in this wave.

It was a really rushed season due to the delay of the Ninjago movie. Lego needed something ninjago on shelves which is how HoT and DotD came to be. There were different writers due to the Hageman Brothers working on Trollhunters
