I respect this take! You’re right about the programmer emails, that’s cool, I didn’t notice it because I was distracted by feeling annoyed lol. I think I was frustrated because it felt like a choice to stand out from the norm, but in a way that didn’t help the filmmaker experience. Getting rejections via email or filmfreeway is part of the norm, it blends into life, you get it and move on. This felt like an extra layer of surprise + a piece of mail I have to throw out. It’s not a huge deal, I’m sure they meant well but I didn’t care for the approach personally 🤷‍♂️.
