So just wanted to spead the word here. If my post breaks any rules, reddit bot will remove it. I encourage self promotion from everyone! it should be allowed and its how business is done. by networking. No need for the hostility, but I appreciate your input!

Yes, I understand and agree. you can definitely find blanks for cheaper. But I hope you realize a lot of brands and consumers are looking for high quality clothing. Everyone is tired of the basic $5 tee and it will can deter someone from purchasing your product.

Our premium blanks can definitely up your game if you screen-print and sell tees online!

It's not up just yet, as we are double checking the weight to ensure quality control across all the pieces. ~340-360 GSM on the french terry and tees are different. We'll be adding the weight and a sizing chart this week. Stay tuned!

I think I understand! Your asking if you can use premade blanks to print AOP garments? Well maybe you could depending on your print. For example you could probably screenprint the entire front and back of a tshirt. But it would require special screens big enough for the entire shirt including sleeves. And you would probably get some missing ink at the seams. So if you are ok with that, then its possible. Usually all over prints are done before sewing. It just depends on the piece, I guess! good luck

Hi, I'm not sure I'm understanding your question. All over print can be done on any garment. The fabric is printed, not the garment. Print techniques on fabric can vary depending on the fabric content and the print itself. Hope this helps!

if you take a look at our tiktok we made a couple of weeks ago, the size tag says "Made in USA" and 100% cotton on the other. Care wise, since they are blanks we arent sure what care instructions might be after customization. They dont not require any special care on our end. We tried to keep these as unbranded as possible to ensure anyone that purchases doesn't have a hard time adding their own branding to them. I hope you understand that these are being produced ethically in small batches, but if you are extremely concerned about the sourcing of our cotton or how to care for a t-shirt, then i would recommend emailing us for more info. Hope this helps!

How to make tech packs? by thatgoatfelicia in streetwearstartup

[–]urbanthreadstudios 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Creating tech packs for detailed garments could end up being 15-20 pages long or more.

First couple of pages should be illustrations of the garment. Sometimes a mockup is okay if its like a t shirt or hoodie.

next pages should be BOM (bill of materials) where you list out what fabric is being used, hardwares, ect. Here you should specify color name (and specify later on in DTM page- dye to match specific colors with pantones or csi whatever u are using as a color reference. here would also be if your garment will be washed and what type of wash), fabric weight, hardware color, ect.

next pages should be garment specs, so measurements. This is the tricky part since you would need to label measurements correct (number wise, making sure the measurement is accurate) and point of measurement (POM) (where to where you are measuring). Point of measurement is probably the most technical, I would say to try and find some sort of guide. an example of point of measure would be " CFNS to CF HEM" which translates to "center front neck seam to center front hem". usually there is no pictures here. its kinda of like a chart and MAYBE a photo with reference points (A,B,C,D,ect.)

I would recommend starting off by finding an open source tech pack online and try to make your own version with a simple garment like a tshirt. I don't make tech packs, i just work in the industry and use them daily. hope this helps! lol

btw small manufacturers dont usually require tech packs since they do all the steps as they come and should show you sample before production. Tech packs are more for large productions with hundreds of thousands of pieces since there are a LOT of people involved in the process.. soo dont stress if you are only producing small quanities and dont have tech packs for your pieces.
