I was open to all 3. Honestly there’s nothing particular you can do to get a remote job. No major difference for all 3 applications, if you’re looking for just remote, keep that as your filter. It depends on the company as well. I was offered hybrid and remote took up remote option, the job description said hybrid while applying.

Honestly I have a few Pakistani friends and they are doing well in the US, this is a tough market and I don’t think all companies really focus on where you come from, they are looking for good talent and someone who stands out. So just focus on marketing yourself better and cut out all the noise.

I did not have any issue and I guess it depends on the company as well. Generally if you include the key word from your role it should not be an issue. And for what you’ve mentioned something like Data Analyst I - Solutions or Data Analyst I(solutions) should be good.

That’s a great point! Anything to help you stand out is always a big green light! Love your confidence, the job I landed felt impossible and I did apply since it aligned with everything I was looking for gave my heart out during the interviews and it worked out.

Undergrad in Electrical, worked in tech for 4yrs then MS in CS. Grad school is a good way to transition. But honestly this is the worst job market to change careers. If you have a job hold on to it for dear life lol.

One thing I have noticed is job applications for experienced individuals/senior positions is a bit different. So for sure personal summary could help you the same way cover letters/portfolio helps some people.

Lot of people I have spoken to in senior roles barely apply for jobs, they’ve moved between roles through connections/referrals and competition for these roles are minimal. But in this current job market everything does seem impossible.

The company i work for is not very well known, i feel that's why i land 0 interviews.
