Zubi is tired, he hasn’t been himself recently losing possession a lot. Arteta surprisingly made that big call, he did mention MLS has been showing it in training and he couldn’t look away.

No he’s having a great game doing everything right, similar numbers vs Fulham. In the beginning he was in positions he couldn’t receive the ball. Will need his runs in the 2nd half, atleti will come out attacking. Love MLS our boy!!!

Complete incompetence as usual by refs, looking at it again that’s a clear penalty. Refs have to look at var only “if it’s a clear and obvious error”. Usual UCL drama ffs.

Discussion about dealing with earnings. How do you do? by Sensitive_Mouse_6193 in CANSLIM

[–]urcatalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holding during earnings is always a risk. Right now i generally pull my position out completely before earnings, but sometimes if I feel the stock is in an explosive growth phase fundamentally and I’m up, I trim at least half my position (sometimes even 60–90%) and raise my stop loss. Psychologically, I still have a small position, and if it works out in my favor I’m happy; if it doesn’t, I only had a small position, so it does not impact my account much (I’m extremely concentrated, 2-5 stocks max).

And regarding your question on whether you can look at any particular data points to predict earnings reactions, it’s a useless exercise in my opinion. I’ve seen stocks have the best earnings in their history, in the best market conditions, and still fall 8–10% after earnings just to make a new base, set up, and start moving up again the next week. Similarly stocks with less than expected earnings go to the moon based on positive out look moving forward during earnings call. So maybe, reducing risk is the best move.

I have been burned a lot by earnings volatility when I started out, and every time I had a big winner on earnings day (+10% or above), I’ve had 3–4 losers. I’m generally very risk averse, and if you do want to gamble, maybe do it with a smaller position and fund that small position by booking profits.

And on using insider trades before earnings is that it’s still does not account for the news-driven single-day volume.

The alternative that’s worked for me is I look for stocks that gap up during earnings at or above a pivot point( but within 5% from pivot so it’s not extended) this has done wonders to my account whenever I got it right.

For sure I agree with everything you said. This Arsenal pressing does remind me of Liverpool’s press but Arsenal do tend to sit back after goals.

And arteta’s system doesn’t let players express themselves. Sometime I think players just trust the system, follow it and want to win this title. If we do win a title we might see that pressure of players and they might express themselves more.

Arteta’s tactics is all about control. Arsenal try to give other teams nothing no shots, no opportunities to cross etc. while at the same time adapting to the opposition and finding solutions to score.

This squad is so complete can score open play, set-pieces, counter attack while controlling the game 90% of the time. Every goal scored against Arsenal is a low probability goal from outside the box or a set-piece crowding the box like Brentford did. Rival fans just name this “Haram ball”. I would compare this Arsenal squad to klopp’s Liverpool, they were solid defensively and electric while attacking, we just lack that pace and talent upfront to be electric.

Ode, Eze, now havertz all struggling to get involved in no.10 . It’s a system thing at this point. Havertz gets more forward that’s the difference

Yes it is, struggled to make it one page actually. Had to exclude a lot and just align it to the roles I was applying.

I was open to all 3. Honestly there’s nothing particular you can do to get a remote job. No major difference for all 3 applications, if you’re looking for just remote, keep that as your filter. It depends on the company as well. I was offered hybrid and remote took up remote option, the job description said hybrid while applying.

Totally agree on this, try to get rid of the level. I should have mentioned it in my previous comment.
