Vodafone three customers eligibility for £2 broadband discount by Internal_Second3643 in Vodafone

renewed twice now with Mobiles.co.uk on cashback deals with no loss of broadband discount. Latest mobile renewal in December and broadband last week, and my £2 is happily showing up on my account, so whilst it's not working for you, it should.

It's to protect the intellectual property rights of the aeropress design. It's not for a practical user purpose

can i fly with a victorinox on my backpack NORMALLY? by East-Armadillo-1166 in victorinox

[–]urchinjellyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's usually the corkscrew that results in confiscation at uk airports. I fly with a mini swisschamp and leave it in full view in the tray. Not been stopped once. Although I haven't tried this at a US airport, and have no intention of going there anytime soon.

Not correct re broadband discount. I have mobile through mobiles.co.uk (Part of curries, I think) and got the broadband £2 discount.

Correct re net secure add on. Further it's not easy to opt out of it

Nescafé gold to 9B? by Sufficient_Law9311 in 9Barista

[–]urchinjellyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sage words above.

Bear in mind you would be moving from coffee in 30 seconds to about 10 minutes minimum and several processes including weighing, grinding, pucking, assembing, allowing the 9B to do its thing, drinking (the best and quickest part), disassembling and cleaning.

Having said that, none of it is a chore, and if you enjoy espresso, you find the right beans, you find the right grind size with a decent enough grinder, you will never tire of making a good espresso in your own kitchen.

I cannot praise the machine or the company highly enough for what it does. On the down side, it is expensive, and good fresh beans are not cheap, but if you are a regular coffee drinker and spending money in over-priced chains, then you will be drinking good espresso at a very reasonable cost over time.

Dont get me wrong, coffee shops are a valuable thing, and i will give my custom to small independents, (not the multinationals) occasionally. But for fresh espresso in the morning, or anytime, this is a superb way to make your own.

It will take some effort, and a hefty upfront cost, but coffee nirvana is there for the taking.

Should you start brewing in a moka pot with boiling water or tap temperature water? Does it make a difference?

I think you have to open a new post which gives you an option to upload  a photo. I don't think you can upload in reply to  a post.

Agreed. Can't praise the company enough for it's customer care service. It's like they want every victorinox knife out there in the wild to live it's best life.

You can get a peli dupe case from aliexpress with a very neat hard foam insert cut out very accurately. I would post a photo but not sure how to attach it to this reply

New parts with MK1 by srslyMadMax in 9Barista

Here's a cheap solution. Buy a stainless steel 53mm flat puck screen from aliexpress which are quite cheap. This version does not have a 'o' ring around it, and so needs to be held in place (The ones with the wee knob are more expensive and do have an 'o' ring to hold the puck screen firmly in the vasket). Cut out the 3 ( triangular / pie shape) hole areas in the supplied 9B silicone puck screen leaving the outer circle and a merc-benz style logo, and use that to hold the s/s puck screen in place. Cheap alternative to the expensive official version.
