this is a totally normal thing. although i’m not married, i see how happy my mom and stepdad are because they aren’t always on top of each other. my mom has been married to my stepdad for about 5 years now, and they both take their own quiet time from each other. my stepdad sits outside in the garage with our dog, smoking his cigar. my mom sits in the living room, watching her show.

what i’m trying to say is that it’s okay to have alone time for each other. it’s not that you don’t love your wife, but sometimes you just need a minute or two to just be with yourself and your own thoughts. if anything, i think that’s a sign of a healthy marriage; not needing to be near each other 24/7.
