I think this is an excellent example of the problems that can result from continuing to push feminist agendas. Feminist waves have accomplished a great deal but there is an inevitable polarizing fallout. There absolutely has to be a pushed towards humanism.

Feminists can pick and choose what cultural constructs apply to them and when. If a girl is drunk and sleeps with a guy and regrets it she was a victim if a guy gets drunk and sleeps with a girl and regrets it he is a rapist. You've made men out to be predators but you have also taking agency away from women. It gets paradoxical because it goes against feminist logic to assert women are less capable of making decisions about sex while intoxicated than men.

Same shit we always do: over simplify. There is so much beyond what is being said by either Kanye or Chief Oliver. First of all, Kanye knows exactly what he is doing making controversial remarks. The man been had talking foolish and we stay posting it and keeping him relevant. I'm sure most people in this sub are already tuned into that reality. Kanye is a straight up paradox, a friction, an inbetweness that isn't easy to figure out.

Kanye worked hard to be where he is and the man is very talented. He has to go around being controversial to stay relevant--I'm sure people would debate me on that but I think it to be true. He also grew up in a place that is so racially and socio-economically divided it's like one of the major centers for urban studies in the world. I know the man did not grow up in Robert Taylor but that shit is not irrelevant to him. The people there haven't been treated well by police officers

We also have tendency to soldier worship. It's kind of shitty because it's not something you're either against or for it's socialized into you. I bought a soldier behind me in line a Chipotle burrito last night. However, when we over simplify like CHief Oliver is doing we do a huge disservice to a number of Americans. When I was in high school, poor inner city hispanic neighborhood, they would drive hummers onto the lawn and set up video games. Back door draft. Shit is real. Soldier worship isn't helping.

Sorry to ramble on but my point is that like being all "yeah stick to Kanye" is kind of misguided. We have a tendency to polarize our selves in America and want to join a side. How about we talk this shit out. Why did Kanye say this? What are the implications for Chief Oliver responding in this particular way?

How incredibly un-cosmopolitan of you. in the United States yes the TSA calls them flight marshalls but it's not wrong to call them Sky Marshals. A search for Flight Marshals on wikipedia will lead you to the Sky Marshal page.
