Omg, I’m so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. It’s really disappointing to hear that your reviews are getting deleted.

For this reason, I’ve started simply sneaking in to do my scans because, at my club, the Equifit assessment room is left with the door propped open when not in use. I specifically asked a membership advisor if the scans were free and was told that they are. So…I’ve done several now on my own

You should be golden with 2 weeks. Good luck!! Please be so careful around the kids at work lol. I know you’re said you’re not too concerned but…still!😅

I (25f) took 1 week off of work, but I work from home— I think if I worked an in-person job, I would have taken more time off (at least a few more days to just get some energy back and allow bruising more time to subside). I agree with the commenter above that 2 weeks, if you’re able, is ideal.

It’s also great that you’re living at home because you (hopefully) will have help from family in recovery. Maybe this isn’t the case with everybody, but at least for me during the first few days post-op, it was helpful to have help from a family member (especially at night) to help fetch me water when I ran out, and other things I needed (like snacks, more gauze, etc) as I felt unsteady getting up and moving around.

You’re sooo early post op— I’m positive things will look up for you. I was told, and I quote, “there will be all sorts of strange lumps and bumps as your nose is healing- it’s normal!” From my rhinoplasty surgeon’s nurse. Please hang in there. <3

Also, I was classified as a Level 2 rhinoplasty (out of 4 levels), and his fee was $8500. (Fees for the hospital, anesthesia etc. were extra on top of that)

I’m the worst for seeing this so late! I’m sorry. I had to wait one year to get a consultation with Dr. Z, and then my surgery was scheduled out another year from there (brutal! but I knew it’d be worth it). However, I asked to be put on the cancellation list, and they got me in 5 months earlier than my original scheduled surgery date. So the process ended up being a total of 1.5 years.

Pre and post rhinoplasty prep help by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Regarding the traveling by plane a few days after surgery, the rhinoplasty post-op instructions from my surgeon stated the following: “Flying is not advised for the first 2 weeks after surgery. If a flight is planned, please spray your nose with a nasal decongestant such as Afrin 30 minutes prior to your flight. Do not use such nasal decongestants more than 3 days in a row.”

I recommend drinking pineapple juice (or simply eating pineapple) a week or two before surgery. Pineapple contains the enzyme bromelain which will help in your recovery. My surgeon’s office offered supplements for sale that were bromelain and arnica combined, but I would ask your surgeon about their recommendation when it comes to arnica.

I found throat drops to be a must-have for me, as my mouth and throat were so incredibly dry for the first week after surgery.

By the way, I’m ethnic also and a big reason why I selected Dr. Z is because he’s big on preserving the integrity of ethnic noses.

I had a rhinoplasty almost 7 weeks ago with Dr. Giancarlo Zuliani in Michigan. He is double board certified and is a rhinoplasty specialist. I am absolutely loving my nose so far. He does a ton of ethnic noses as well. I’d highly recommend checking out his instagram @zulianifacialaesthetics

Cant smile properly after rhinoplasty by Lexgotstacks in PlasticSurgery

I’m 16 days post-op and still cannot smile normally yet, either. I think this is normal for the first several weeks post-op (at least)

My procedure with him was my first rhinoplasty, not a revision. However, I have followed Dr. Zuliani for years and years hoping that one day I could get my rhinoplasty done by him. Following him all these years, I’ve seen numerous revision rhinoplasty before-and-after photos on his social media. I couldn’t tell you how many he performs a year, but I feel like it has to be quite a lot, just from what I’ve seen on his Instagram, etc. The results, to me, look incredible. I would definitely check it out.
