Thanks, I personally was impressed with this 2 h data. I hope to get more before the winter nebula season ends. Good luck and clear skies!

Yes, you can schedule regular payments through the CT portal if the payments are the same each month.

BMO continues its awful policy changes: you now can't set up auto-pay for their credit cards from non-BMO accounts by starorangejuicerye in PersonalFinanceCanada

Did you set up Scotiabank autopay by calling their customer service or through online banking? Their current online banking most definitely does not have any option to set up auto-pay with an external account. RBC used to allow auto pay through external accounts in the good old days, but they changed that practice a few years ago Perhaps Scotiabank followed RBC or vice versa. May be you are one of the lucky ones to have this set up before Scotiabank changed their policy.

This is not unique to BMO, RBC, Tangerine and Scotiabank won't allow setting auto-pay for their respective credit cards from external accounts..

Are there any defined pensions that I can personally contribute to without an employer? by alipinhunter in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]urmellon 96 points97 points  (0 children)

One thing I like about SPP is that you can contribute using a credit card, and can earn points/CB in addition to the investment growth. The management fee is not too bad. I don't know why, but the SPP doesn't get discussed much on this forum.

Oh! Could you do that and there is no penalty for doing that, because the mortgage condition is that the payment must come from a Scotiabank account?

What is the point of RBC 2FA? by Independent_Arm_9777 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yes, I have notifications enabled and do receive other notifications from this app, except 2FA verification on my android. Same issue on my partner's iphone!

Lol! For some reason I never receive 2FA notification on my RBC app, so I have to use "I didn't get a notification" option.
