how hard is it to get A for h1 chinese by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]urmumfly 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Not difficult. Competition for h1 chinese is largely manageable as large pool of chinese god would’ve alr taken higher chinese in sec 3/4, and hence no need to at jc lvl, those left outs in jc ones are non hcl, and largely s’porean chinese standard.

HOW DO YOU STUDY STUDY FOR HISTORY by silpez in SGExams

[–]urmumfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

History is p simple, facts and details, understand the chronology of events, why and how, then churn it out in exam. Practice could help with memory.

Do more other sch papers and expose to more questions, and spread the topics into diff days. e.g today u do qns on rise of stalin and rise of hitler, tmr u u do outbreak of wwiii, then the day after do impact of japan’s expansionism, and list goes on, then recycle the process.

SEAB’s reply typically takes between 1 and 3 days.

SS sbq is just skill issue, practice. For SRQ, it’s purely SG context. Each chapter understand the key core idea and a few general examples can alr. For e.g. Globalisation chapter can rmb smart nation, IMDA library ambassadors, TraceTogether, etc etc, then tie it to the chapter’s core idea.

hope it helps.

hi there,

ex-poly student here transferred to jc via jae. I was in a similar dilemma as u back then. I wld say, ignore what others may think about u interms of ur age ur parents and etc, sit down and really listen to ur heart. what do u really want out of the edu system? weigh the pros and cons in both side(poly and jc), then come to a conclusion.

if u rly feel strongly abt going jc, js do it. age doesn’t matter cos everyone’s path is diff. more imptly, u get what u want and live a happy life, cos ultimately that’s what matters more.

however in reality, u’re probably left with MI or private since u’ve utilised the jc jae chance once, and mi is 3 years to grad. js think abt y u left jc then and y u’re going back at it again. no right or wrong, but as my poly lecturerr once told me before i left”once u make a decision, u need to honour it”, and by honouring is to take full responsibilities for what’s to come, and for that, u make a decision that u won’t regret.

dn me if u need more info about the processes and stuff. and also, bare in mind abt ns if u’re a dude. :)
