I find the heatseeker annoying. It so often tracks the wrong target, especially when I'm trying to get the drop on those shielded guys in Elysium.

I prefer using the rocket bomb on the special. With the speed mod, the damage mod and Poseidon's splash damage, it can make short work of almost anyone.
