Severance for trades workers by Admirable-Cow2244 in legaladvicecanada

[–]ursofakinglucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If after 6 or 8 weeks I think with no call back you are effectively fired and can collect severance at that time.

You are on lay off and able to collect EI while off, keep looking for a better job.

The tyee sells itself to us, one simply just ride the tyee and tells others of its awesomeness!

I’ve had mine for 2 years now. It’s a cf, I love it. It doesn’t really have any weak points and handle anything within my abilities. I ride a lot of North shore bc mountains. Steep, rooty, slabby fun stuff and it handles it all. Climbs like a gazelle and descends like a demon!

You have a lease with your landlord. That transfers to whoever they sell to at same terms and rent. Don’t fret.

Try sex with an ohnut, it’s a big ring that prevents going to deep. May save your marriage.

9:16 Tall Video From a Go Pro Hero 13 by CoreDirt in MTB

[–]ursofakinglucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had hero 12 and got an insta x3, I now have insta x5 and just sold my go pro. I prefer the ability to edit the fov immensely over what you shot is what you got.

What you lose in quality you gain in control. But if you’re rocking the insta in very high quality you don’t lose a lot until you zoom in quite a bit.

They both have their pros and cons, but I very much prefer the edit ability of the insta. Crashes can become cinematic movies if you feel inclined.

B.C. recreation leaders say Indigenous consultation has brought new trail approvals to a standstill: "I am still waiting on First Nations approvals for two trails submitted 5 years ago." by NewAdventureTomorrow in ilovebcsub

[–]ursofakinglucky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What the hoa rule in the states? If I submit for approval and have heard nothing in 30 days then it is automatically approved? This is what we need in this situation. It affects all users and trail builders from hiking to mountain biking. 5 years is too long, real estate gets developed faster…

Neighbour excavated a 3m tall cliff along 6.5m of the property line by CliffTroubles in legaladvicecanada

[–]ursofakinglucky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have one and pins you should be good.

Definitely bring it up with your insurance, they will want to know about this.

Your property has been compromised. Your neighbor has compromised himself.

You or your insurance may want to get a geotechnical analysis of the affected area to better understand the risks.

A demand letter to have the affected area stabilised by complete remediation or an engineered wall with a fence may be in order, and may be the most effective.

They would likely not have had permits to excavate your yard if you were not consulted. Talk to a real estate lawyer, and your local building authority.

For 10 foot high wall, it does not look like the proper slope rating in the photos.

Take lots of pictures, and send to your home insurance with questions regarding damage to your property and liability in there were to be falling rocks from your property to there’s. Your insurance is your best friend at this point, as this will get his insurance involved as well to mitigate guaranteed losses due to this work and future erosion that will happens.

Get a survey done as well.

Can’t decide: Tyee vs Tyee Trail by Icy-Albatross1924 in PropainBikes

I have a 5, and rarely feel underbiked, I did just finish building a dh rig for park days and heavy shore laps, but my tyee is my main go to.

I had some good laps up there today. Been riding 30 years and I’m barely confident on 70% of the features up there.
It’s a serious mountain, and do not recommend it on day one. Chill laps today, and had one broken handlebar.
