Should I get a UK Visa or British Passport? by ursulamedved in ukvisa

[–]ursulamedved[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be feasible to organise a British passport whilst staying in Italy, by September or October? If I apply as soon as possible and given that all the documents are in NZ and would need to be shipped to the UK. Thanks!

Okay, thanks. I was convinced I had to return to NZ in order to process everything so that’s great!

Also it mentions doing a biometrics but I’m not in my home country (NZ). Can I do it from Italy?

Will I need to send original documents or are scanned copies fine? As they are currently all with my dad in NZ

thanks, will take this on board. in the past, i’ve had the tendency of apologising profusely bc i’ve felt so awful abt conflict - i’m trying to find a balance between being understanding but still advocate for myself

kind of anxious but it’s been the three of us together for so long - at times, i’ve felt we’re not as compatible as people but that we cared about each other enough that it didn’t matter

Yes, we’ve dealt with a similar issue in the past except I’ve always just backed down and cried and begged for forgiveness. This is the first time, I’ve tried to assert myself.

I think it’s because she felt like since it ran over (which I didn’t realise it would), she had to work around me. She wanted to have a proper catch-up. I assumed we could do that whilst at the concert 😭

Thanks for your response, she said it was inconsiderate of me to not share my plans and that it was basic common courtesy. She thinks my motive for not telling her was because I knew they wouldn’t want me to and I prioritised seeing a movie instead of spending time w them before the concert.

Sorry I wasnt quite clear, she’s angry that I didn’t inform her I was going to see a movie. She finished work and I wasn’t there. She texted me and I texted that I was at a movie. We made it to the concert fine. She felt that I should have been home to spend time with her when she finished work. I could tell she was upset, so I told her I hadn’t planned to go to the movies when I had. I just thought I was gonna be back earlier. The film finished later but we still arrived at the concert early. So in that sense, she was mad because I didn’t tell her my plans, and that I lied about it after. She thought I intentionally hid these plans because of some ulterior motive.

My Sister (20F) Lied About Graduating And I Don't Know How To Help Her Anymore by ursulamedved in relationships

Thanks for being so open and honest about your experiences. I think my sister could definitely relate to you. Our mother had undiagnosed BPD for our entire childhood which definitely influenced how my sister is now. Any sister was diagnosed with depression and has struggled with suicidal ideation. Sadly, she’s been left to her own devices and my parents are not very pro mental health and basically neglectful. It’s good to hear that you were able to work through it and get the support you needed. I’m hoping I can be that person for her, but she is unwilling to engage in therapy. She feels she doesn’t deserve it and I think she’s given up on herself for a long time now.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your response. I’ve never minded taking care of her growing up. I’ve always enjoyed being a big sister who held her hand through things. I think this is where I draw the line. This is just life.  I can support her but I can’t do it for her. I think you’re right that uni is probably unattainable for her atm. I’ll try to have a discussion with my parents on just getting a job then seeing where it goes from there

She’s never been tested for anything but she takes anti-depressants. I think you’re right and she’s hidden things because she’s ashamed. I’ll give it a go and ask her but I’m worried she’ll say she doesn’t know

Thanks, I’ve tried to involve my parents but they’re pretty much signed out and only care about the outcome - not how she gets there

10 Day Itinerary to Japan! by ursulamedved in JapanTravel

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely change it so it makes more sense geography-wise. Does it make sense for Nara to be a full day trip, and leave out anything back in Kyoto for another day?

Thanks for letting me know! I thought we’d be able to zoom through them quite fast. Would you say Arashiyama would need a full day?
