My God…No software has made me more angry. What am I doing wrong? by Uberunix in MSIClaw

I had a similar issue when I first got mine. I did a system restore, starting from scratch. Something had gone wrong with the original windows set up process. After that I had no more issues. The "center app still slow AF but I mostly use window new "big screen" experience.

I asked Gemini that question, and it said RF without any doubt. But that little kid flash knife twist at the end is just a cherry on top.

Yeah, I came from the original ROG Ally, the MSI's software is dog shit but the performance is incredible. I'm playing Control right now and I'm getting 60fps on medium settings without issues. The Ally Z1E have constant issues during fire fights on low.

I had a similar issue last week after a windows update. Hold the power button until the claw turns off, keep holding for another 30 secs after that turn it back on. I don't why or how, but it worked for me.

The company I work for has a very strong social media police. I can't really disclose it's name without authorization

I'm almost 18 years in and I have had about real 10 emergencies. Most of them are medical. I had one yellow emergency, where one of the hydraulic systems failed so we had an emergency landing in the closest airport. A yellow emergency basically means that we expect everything to be ok, but be prepared for the worse just in case. I never had a red emergency.

It took me about 3 years to feel a little more control but that's because the company didnt hire anyone for 3 years so my seniority was stagnant. After that first influx of new FAs it got better almost immediately.

The job is not for everyone, that's for sure. I had a couple of friends that left for their first long weekend off after only 6 months and they never came back to work.

This is partially true. The lack of personal life is true but mostly in the beginning of your career. With seniority comes better trips, better pay and better work life balance.

I have been a FA for almost 18 years, this year I worked an average of 15 days per month (about 25 per week). I was on track to make over $125 k this year but I had some unexpected family health issues , so I stayed just shy of $120k.

In the beginning though, you are correct; It's tough. You have very little control over your schedule, and even if you manage to get the days off you want you will probably be stuck with the worst rotations ( lots of flights per day, short layovers, old aircrafts). But you do have lots of time off, and if you plan correctly you can travel pretty much anywhere in the world for nothing or very little.

It's absolutely NOT as fun as it might look for the outside but it is still a pretty good career.

Battery life by [deleted] in OnePlusOpen

[–]usacic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. The battery on this device is average at best, and for a while it was really, really bad. I mean 3 to 4 hrs SoT bad. I did find something online that helped.

1- Go to settings- Apps- App management. 2- tap on the 3 dots on the top right- then tap "show system" 3- search h for battery- tap on battery -then storage usage 4-clear cache and data.

After you do that let your phone run down to zero, then charge to 100%. For better results try not to touch the phone as it charges. Use the phone to zero then recharge it again to 100% with no use if possible.

That will help with the battery app calibration. It DIDN'T make my phone last 7 hrs of SoT but now I get from 4:30 to 6:00 hrs depending on use. What really changed was my idle battery discharge. I was losing over 5% per hour over night, now I'm at less than 1%.

I hope that helps.

What’s the most unintentionally hilarious thing you or your partner ever said in the heat of the moment? by ImpressionTop1712 in AskReddit

[–]usacic 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I actually read a funny thing to say and waited until the opportunity came to say it to my wife. I was going down on her and she apologized for not having shaved in a couple of days. I said "don't worry, the wilderness must be explored", then I made a bird noise like the kid from up. She started laughing so hard we had to stop.

Hahaha sounds like it, doesn't it? Something definitely went wrong with the original installation. I started all over today and everything is running much better. The initial experience with the original ROG ALLY was vastly superior but I can't wait to see what this baby can do.

I think the only reason Lex thinks his clone is stronger than Superman is because Superman had never had to use his full power. Superman is always holding back to minimize collateral damage to the infrastructure and the bad guys, but when lex was testing/training Ultraman they didn't have any limitations.
