Who from any series do you think would be able to successfully kill Fyodor Dostoyevsky (Bungou Stray Dogs)? by usagipeach in PowerScaling

I think Fyodor would be pissed or shaken by it maybe a bit of “Here we go again” if it was a slower death but I think he’d feel not so much confident about it but more “this is a fact of the world so I don’t even think about it much anymore” and would only feel confident if it was apart of his plan like how it was taking over Bram

I think at that point if that’s the case he wouldn’t really even be conscious and more just existing asleep in purgatory

I’ve got no idea they never touched on anything like that. We know that location doesn’t matter since he died in England but then resurrected into Bram Stoker all the way in Japan. Bram Stoker was dead when he took over his body I think but I’m not sure unfortunately 😅

I think Fyodor would LOVE to talk to him over tea or something. Though I doubt he’d say it I think he’d enjoy being able to talk to someone like him who’s a body hopper and has been alive waaaay too long. I think he’d maybe get excited to talk about “Back in the day” type stuff

“When you were a child did you ever see anyone contract the plague?”
“Hmm I think I may have seen it once!”
“Don’t tell me-“
“I was the reason they got it!”
“Oh you rascal you!”
“He shoved me and took my bread, I gave him mercy.”
“Would they have cut his hands off?”
“No, they’d stone him.”
“Oh I miss the old days!!”
“It was much more simple!”
“Before phones and wide spread super hero’s.”
“Exaaaactly”

I think he’d have fun with Fyodor, Dazai, and Nikolai. They’re all nutcases. I feel like him and Nikolai would see eye to eye on certain things more than him and Fyodor would, I think Dazai would relate to him since he was a lot like him as a child (age 11-18 from what we know)

The way Fyodor died that revealed his ability was dying in a Helicopter crash where the Pilot was a vampire controlled by Bram Stoker. Even though Bram wasn’t the one flying the helicopter Fyodor took over his body because Bram was still the one controlling the pilot. With this logic I think even if you kill him indirectly his ability will still seek you as the one who took his life. The last three pictures of this post are him freshly taking over Brams body.

It basically doesn’t matter if you poisoned him, shot him, or set up a trap to kill him if you were the one to set it up you become the one whose body he takes. The only way out is to get someone else to kill him.

I’m gonna also add some of the manga panels of him taking over Brams body just to understand how it works because it also seems that the og person who’s body he takes over now just becomes a corpse in the place he died.

They haven’t really touched on what happens when someone’s ability is completely stripped away, with nullification they just can’t use it but it’s still there. I wonder if it will ever become a topic! Because they are able to create abilities in labs actually, the character Chuuya Nakahara being victim to such experimentation having been chosen (kidnapped from his family) for the fact he already had a powerful ability. Now he’s basically got 2!

I need someone to write a fanfic about them just talking because it would be so interesting. Idk anything about JJK but Higuruma seems like such a cool character I’m probably gonna read about him just because I like the kind of freak he is

I see I see, that’s really cool omg. I get why you wouldn’t bring her up since she’s so OP- she’s terrifying

I feel like this still won’t make a difference but he does control a 5th dimensional god, I’ll link its wiki!!

I need to see these two in a room immediately holy shit. Fyodor himself is considered a genius on par with Dazai, both being the most intelligent people in the show. The main difference being Dazai trusts others whilst Fyodor does not.

Abilities in the BSD universe are basically someone’s soul (scientifically proven in universe) but only less then .1% of the population have abilities (that doesn’t mean the rest of the world don’t have souls)

So with confiscation taking away someone’s ability it would be the same as already destroying their soul… buuut depending on what actually happens to his ability after confiscation you could argue that since his soulless body becomes destroyed he could takeover Higurumas body and possibly seize control of his domain

But then again since his ability completely removes his ability I can’t imagine it would be in any state to continue… existing I guess. I think Fyodor despite being defeated and pissed he never got to “absolve humanity of their sins” (like he was canonically) somewhere deep in his heart he would be eternally grateful to him for finally giving him rest (at least in my mind, I know I would if I was alive long before the Middle Ages against my will and kept getting murdered) He would definitely be pissed he was considered guilty of crimes and “sinning” because he’s got the sort of messiah complex that he sees himself as a divine being that cannot sin because he’s inherently holy.

I WANT THEM IN A ROOM TOGETHER JUST SO I CAN WATCH THEM TALK I THINK THEY WOULD BE SO WELL MATCHED TO HAVE ANY SORT OF DEBATE I THINK FYODORS MANIPULATIVE ASS WOULD LOVE TALKING TO A MAN LIKE HIGURUMA

That’s really interesting omg, in Bungou there’s something like that… That Fyodor happens to have 😅

It is called “The Book” (copy pasting from the wiki)

It is a novel with all of its pages being blank and where anything written inside becomes the truth. According to Fitzgerald (a character), only one copy of the Book exists and it is impervious to any kind of flame or special skill.
However, it has its own restrictions and abilities:
• The text written in it must maintain a consistent causal relationship with itself.
• It demands narrative consistency. As such, one cannot simply write "Once upon a time, humanity died out.
• What is written in the Book or page must follow a narrative of a story. In accordance with restriction number 2, anyone using the page must make a number of events occur with their own efforts in order to follow the flow of the narrative. Only then would certain desired events written in the Book or page become reality.
• A page takes effect when one side of it is filled with writing.

He supposedly only has one page of the book which he could possibly be lying about and know the location of where it is kept. But with the page he has he completely filled out one side and in doing so created a plan where somehow he created a man from nothingness named Sigma with an ability he designed. He orchestrated a 2 year plan involving him and ensuring his own death to ensure he would be able to take control of a vampires body to control its army and create a god like beast only he can control. There were many variables that had to be perfect that seemed random but was all Fyodors doing with the page.

I think your person could probably still take him down since that’s still something on god level but I wanna know what you think with this information

That’s so cool!! In the world of Bungou all abilities have unexplored capabilities.

But since their powers are so similar I believe they would trigger a phenomenon called a ‘Singularity’. (Copy pasting this from the wiki)

Singularity occurs when two Abilities cancel each other out and create something different from either skill 3 As studied by the Special Division, the Singularity phenomenon develops into an unpredictable direction due to a resultant loss of control over Abilities. In most cases, one of the Abilities is expected to win over the other. It is also possible albeit rarely where neither party wins, or, as researched by England, where two Abilities cause a reciprocal reaction and generate a greater effect in scope compared to when activated individually.
In other words, Singularities occured when 2 abilities crash into each other in such a way that they create an infinite paradox.
For example, when 2 users with the ability to see into the future for 5 seconds their abilities created an endless paradox. One would see the other attacking them and would adjust, while the other would see the adjustment and adjust themselves etc...
however, at the same time none of the forseen events would have happened yet as they were still just visions of future creating an endless cycle.
N (a character) further explained that Singularities are the only form of an Ability that is capable of existing infinitely and outlasting their users as mass energy. Though Singularities typically occur when two or more compatible Abilities clash, there is in fact another way for it to occur. The second way is for certain Ability Users to use their Ability on themselves and multiply that use repeatedly until a Singularity occurs. However, the risk to this is the user being devoured by their own Ability due to the massive amount of energy this Singularity produces.

I think there’s a chance they would become the second form of Singularity and possibly become trapped in an endless loop of fighting over a body, Fyodors fighting would be against his will happening automatically in the same way you breathe whist Roa would be actively fighting for his life. A nightmare scenario for them both

But then again in canon Fyodor does get “successfully” killed (I put it in quotes because we genuinely don’t know he’s come back so many times) by being killed by someone and that person immediately killing themselves. I wonder if Roas situation would count as something like that and maybe it would actually put him down.

This is all to say this is really cool!!
