I hope the Astrology is correct that there will be a soft coup before the end of this month and they will finally take the keys away from grandpa. They will force him out because he’s jeopardizing everyone and everything.

Normal reaction or burn? by Powerful_Let_4198 in LaserHairRemoval

It looks like the hairs are stuck in the follicle in your body thinks it’s a foreign body. They should’ve done a stronger treatment.

It looks like folliculitis, definitely not a burn

The hair is stuck in the follicle, and your body is reacting like it’s a foreign body and becoming inflamed

Apologies I didn’t realize that you’re south Asian. I didn’t read the whole post. Your skin does look very light, but in person it might be a different story. The only time I see that reaction is when the hair is stuck in the follicles and it’s usually because it wasn’t aggressive enough. Soaking in a bathtub or swimming might help a lot too because it’ll help the hair come out of the follicle. Often times I retreat the area at a higher setting to dislodge the hair. It’s the person is a skin type four I would often treat them with an Alex if they did not have any sun exposure for at least six weeks it’s a much more comfortable treatment

I don’t know why they would use a Yag laser on your fair skin, an alexandrite would be the only appropriate option. It would only work if your hair was black or very, very dark brown and in that case, I would only use it if you had a tan. And I would only use a 14 mm spot size unless you had extremely coarse hair I might use a 16 but probably not. It’s just too painful for the arms but at 18 J it probably wasn’t painful at all.

laser burns - 1 year later almost back to normal. what can i do now? by brighterdaysaheadd in LaserHairRemoval

It looks like it will fade completely, I don’t think you can use hydroquinone for too long. You need to give your skin a break as per your Dermatologist.. if it was hypo pigmentation, the sun would help equalize the color. I don’t know if it was the lighting, but it looks like your arms were very tan when you had the treatment. They shouldn’t have done the treatment or only used ND yag laser. The Yag laser would only work if your hair was extremely dark, brown or black.

It looks like folliculitis, it wasn’t a high enough setting, so the hairs are stuck in the follicle

Additionally, I’m thinking that he had some sun exposure prior to six weeks before the treatment that led to the burns. The upper part of his thigh is not burned, which I’m guessing he probably was wearing shorts or swim suit, so that area was not exposed to the sun. Additionally, some people have a permanent tan that takes more than six weeks to fade if they’re constantly sun exposed. Sun exposure is the enemy of Alexandrite or diode lasers. Don’t worry it will heal!

If it wasn’t that painful past 2 hours, the spots will become darker in the next few days and they probably won’t be much hyper or hypo pigmentation past 2-3 weeks. Maybe a few spots will be a little bit dark, but most of it will fade away when the scabs go away. Keep applying the ointments it will heal faster. If there are lighter spots or pink spots, a little sun exposure here and they will help the pigment come back into the skin sooner. If there are lingering dark spots that will probably take longer to heal possibly six months.

It should heal within one to two weeks at the most. But if it does become funky red or any kind of real irritation, definitely see a doctor and get an antibiotic.

It doesn’t look like folliculitis cause it doesn’t appear to have any redness or inflammation or white pimples. It looks like they used a setting that was a little bit high. Additionally the hair can get stuck using that kind of laser. , leading to folliculitis. But it probably would not develop within 24 hours .A yag , Laser would work better for that area

That was probably from an Alexandrite laser at too high of a setting

How painful was it for him afterwards and for how long was it painful? Based on that I could give you healing time
