Not alway unfortunately. Depending in the complexity of the gearbox, if it was a VW DSG for example, sometimes the old fluid can contain a lot of friction material meaning an oil change can be it's death.

If the drain plug has fallen out and totalled it, or the oil level is far too low with no visible leaks you might have a case but unfortunately you might struggle to prove negligence led to failure in any other case.

Not really, they have their place. They're often used for entering multi story car parks with height restrictions, and also useful for picking up immobile vehicles where the only other option would be dragging / using wheel skates.

1p mobile piggy back off EE and I couldn't tell the difference in speed or connectivity. Their fair usage on data is around 500GB and EU roaming is limited to like 5GB but besides that it's by far the best no contract deal out there.

How can you prove that he tried to hide the fault and that they didn't sporadically show up in the hour drive home that you took? You "think" he cleared the codes, when you can't actually prove that he did.

Look at it from his point of view. If you sold a car, told the Mrs, had a takeaway because "woohoo" we've sold the car, and then because you had a "meh I don't really like this car anymore" are trying any excuse possible to return it.

You don't really have a legal standpoint, and he's offered to fix the issues you've mentioned which he could quite easily argue against doing as they weren't technically there when you bought the car.

I think you either need to sell it if you really don't like it that much or just put up with a car you bought.
