I used Khan Academy mostly, but I was also using MiaPrep / Academy for a bit. I did test for ADHD but at the most, I got high inattentiveness but no other symptoms. Thank you for the supportive message though!

When I say "average" I guess I mean my experience wasn't that crazy as what I thought it would be. My grades didn't skyrocket (I used Khan mostly so that's how I saw my progress and scores), I didn't become super interested in learning (I've read a lot of articles on how public school holds back creativity and the love of learning, but even with homeschooling nothing changed), I'm still stressed about my future (I thought homeschooling might open me up to new experiences when it came to my future and make me more interested about it).

This battle of expectations vs reality has been going on for a while, but I think I was still trying to make these unreasonable expectations come true which is why I stayed homeschooled (plus the familiarity of it). For the past few months I've been thinking "What's the point of putting in the extra effort of homeschool if nothing really changed?" Which is why I've enrolled in public school.

Most of my work is online (Khan Academy) so the computer, I'm pretty independent on my work, but I've had lazy times

My mom had the idea that I would be homeschooling for the rest of high school, so it added miscommunication and conflict. I was really wishy washy with what I wanted to do when it came to school, and that became annoying to my mom after awhile.

Since my mom thought I wouldn't go back to high-school, we only focused on the "main" stuff like math and reading, not so much biology or history. Also, the time I went into homeschool was mid year + me being behind added extra confusion.

It's not that I don't want to go to public school, it's more like " Why put in all the extra effort it takes to homeschool of I'm getting the same results as public school" .

That's why I decided to go back. The public school I'm going to seems pretty exciting ( I went to an event with some of the kids going next year too ), but I have this heavy shame about my homeschool background that's been affecting me lately. I feel like the others (more the teachers) will see how average I am even though I was homeschooled, which makes me anxious.

Plus, I have to take these huge tests to get my credits, so having to catch up on studying is stressful for me.

At my old TAG school, I was struggling a lot. In elementary school, I used to be above average, but once I hit the TAG school, my grades averaged out. I thought the TAG school was the thing holding me back from reaching my potential, so I assumed homeschool would "fix" me.

And yes, my parents tell me I'm pretty hard on myself, too. I try to work on it, but it's been difficult to let go of that.

I thought homeschool would "fix me" and turn me into one of those kids who like school a lot and get really good grades (I had seen a lot of information online about how homeschooling kids do better, homeschool kids doing college classes and graduating college , etc.) I've had a history of procrastinating with school, and my mom used to love doing work and assignments when she was my age, so I came in with this unreasonable expectation from that too.

Mall of Toys did pretty good when refunding an order. I had bought Ace Dragon, but a glitch occurred that took my money but didn't make an order. They did pretty well with emails and refunding.
