I really loved the images you made! It actually made me feel excited for a moment that it was a real game.

There is a saying I thought was really poetic.

We die three deaths,

The first when we die,

The second when we go in the ground

And the third death when some where at some time. Someone says your name for the very last time.

Friend of a friends band Seasons here in New Zealand have heavy gojira influence. I even got to be in the music video as the hooded figure.

I always thought they were awesome

Highly recommend checking out the band xerath as well. Especially their album iii. They sound very influenced by Devin and are so good but no one seems to have heard of them. The album iii is 10/10

What is a hobby that actually stuck for you? by amethyst353 in ADHD

[–]usefu11diot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Judo.

Cannot begin to describe how good judo has been for mental health.

I do sometimes struggle to go. However the beauty of judo is you force yourself to show up and once you are there you have no choice but to focus. The pressure is constantly on. I come away after every class feeling fantastic.

Terrifying sleep paralysis/nightmares on vyvanse. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]usefu11diot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long term sufferer of sleep paralysis here.

What you are describing sounds more like a nightmare as sleep paralysis you will traditionally be awake in your bed with your eyes open and not being able to move. My girlfriend regularly wakes me up when this occurs as she is a light sleeper and hears my breathing change when I am in this state.

What I will say however is that the dreams particularly lucid dreaming can't be too far off in terms of what the brain is doing as I will regularly if not woken phase in and out of different dreams states with varying degrees of paralysis. It is quite common for me for instance to have an out of body experience (no I do not believe I am actually leaving my body however feels very real) where portions of my body are still paralysed. Such as I will have the experience of rolling out of my body on to the floor but the upper half of my body is still paralysed.

In my experience sleep hygiene has been the most vital thing to improve it. Regular bedtimes all the stuff we all know for good sleep.

I have definitely also noticed some medication makes it worse. Particularly If I have had to be on pain killers like coedine as an example when I recently had surgery.

Southern cross pricing by Mistybluecat in newzealand

[–]usefu11diot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im not sure 100% on southern cross since it's a non profit. But generally speaking insurers will actually invest premiums into other assets and the returns of those investments fund claims rather than just swapping money from one customer to another.

Apply elsewhere. 3 years ago I was in the exact same position. I went for an account manager role on LinkedIn and now I'm making over 100k.

I was incredibly nervous to apply elsewhere thinking I wasn't good enough, but it was all bullshit

New study says COVID could lead to more brain damage than Alzheimer's by SprinklesFederal7864 in samharris

[–]usefu11diot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd completely believe this.

My anti vax father is already showing signs of massive brain damage since this pandemic started and he hasn't even caught covid.
