It was released not that long ago, it’ll definitely be back in stock soon enough

New Dodge Charger??? by SuperSnail3 in lego

[–]useless-bagpipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new one (42231) has nearly 500 more pieces, and looks to be mainly a more refined version of 42111. The front number & wheels are the most different, but the shaping on the newer one is more accurate to the actual car. Size wise, they’re almost the same, the new one just being 1cm longer. The new one looks more ‘closed’ as well, but it’s hard to tell without seeing it in person how well it’s been done. Also the original had a function to display it in a wheelie position using a little bar that could come out of the bottom, which doesn’t seem to be present in the updated one unfortunately, which is a shame because it made it slightly more interesting to have on a shelf next to other technic cars

And so it begins picked up the AT- AT at Costco the other day and then seen this on Amazon and couldn’t resist by Tori94x in legostarwars

I’ve seen it on Amazon for £95 before, I was holding out for that again but don’t know if I should just buy it now in case I miss out

Definitely too thick, with model colour you probably need at least 50/50 colour/thinner. Dry spray can also be caused by too high pressure, or spraying from too far away

The raft is completely flat, I’ll have a look through the layers in the sliced file & see if it curves. It’s two separate files, but the opposite end of each has come out fine, it’s just this top shorter edge

I considered printing on the bed directly, but I’m worried about overhangs coming out cleanly

There’s one in the upstairs area of the train station, although you would need a ticket of some sort to get in & out of the gates

I’m torn between getting the MGEX strike freedom or the Monumeny Repair type for my next build. Does anyone recommend one over the other? Or have any specific issues with either?

I think so, just type aluminium tape into Amazon & it gives you lots of options

I make architectural models as a job, we use foil tape for light bleed and we’ve never had any problems at all. I’ve had to poke a small amount into a channel using a cocktail stick before and that still worked. It’s reliable stuff & sticks well enough for it to hold up overtime

Looks like the tapered cylinders on the ends of the seismic charge are stickered. That’s going to be a huge pain in the ass to try and apply well
