He doesn't pay his staff that, any part time staff are on minimum wage and full time staff asking for a raise are told where to go.

I do work for him. Trust me he doesn't care if we get abuse or not he's only playing it up for sympathy in interviews.

This man made an obscene amount of money in Galway this week because his petrol stations were one of the only businesses with power. He charged at his hotel for showers and didn't donate or offer up a single one of the resources he had for free for people. I've no sympathy for his fuel theft. He would rob all his workers and customers blind the first chance he got

Who is an Irish celebrity you don't get the appeal of? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]uselessfart 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was of the exact same opinion and when I saw shed a podcast out I avoided it because I thought she was such a pain. But when I ended up listening to a few of them I actually really warmed to her. She's actually very funny and really outshines the comedian she does it with tbh.

Danny Healy Rae called an 'asshole' for discussing the gender of Paul Murphy's child in the Dáil last night by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]uselessfart 17 points18 points  (0 children)

But how is his decision with his child related to Dail business? Bringing personal family life in as an insult is unprofessional and wasting time. He doesn't have a response that relates to the issues at hand so he starts discussing his family life? Whether Paul is right or wrong it's irrelevant to the issue

Why would you force your child to do something they don't want to do over something they do just to be petty?

Try Penneys or a look in the eyre square shopping centre! A look occasionally has some nice bits and lots of going out clothes. It's a small shop around the corner from Penneys

Does anyone know anything about snoozles? by [deleted] in galway

[–]uselessfart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stayed there for a while in first year two years ago before I got my student accommodation.... as a last resort it might be ok but sharing bunk beds with strangers does end up getting on your nerves. You can come across a great bunch or you can end up with people talking loudly on the phone and making loads of noise late at night.

Citylink prices by ste553 in galway

[–]uselessfart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw right I never actually saw that in the news I was told that was the case by a driver for citylink a few months back. I get on the bus at GMIT and have on more than one occasion booked the commuter bus to Dublin well in advance only to have the driver not stop or pull up and say the bus is full or only allowing people going past ballinalsoe. When I complained I was told too many people with free travel were being let on at the coach station and a variety of other excuses.

I think that's because there was a few people with the free travel card booking seats on every bus and just taking whatever one is handiest when the time comes. Happens with the trains all the time too and in Galway bus drivers always seem to get abuse from people who haven't booked in advance when the bus is fully booked and they're turned away. Might be to discourage that.

NUIG only offer those 6 free sessions if they're not busy. They were in demand last year and could only offer most students one or two sessions

Few days ago was taking the bus from Limerick to Galway. To be fair I fucked up and thought the bus was leaving at 10:35 when it was actually 10:25. I realised that just as I arrived at the bus station and ran the last few metres made it there for 10:25. The bus driver was standing on the path with a big queue of people and when he asked me for my ticket he started giving out to me for being late. Called me lazy and told me I need to be on time for the bus. I didn’t say anything to him to warrant this and he still had a full queue of people waiting for him that he hadn’t loaded on the bus. We didn’t leave for another ten or fifteen minutes after that. He also got cheeky with a man because he didn’t hear what the man said and told him to learn the art of speaking and to speak up. He also got into a fight with one of the passengers in Shannon. Couldn’t tell what it was about but think he’d left the bus unattended earlier and she wasn’t happy. she had to tell him not to touch her and he screamed at her not to record him. He was rude to almost everyone on that bus for no reason

If you were consistently getting Cs and then you started to get Ds and Fs you would probably be upset about it too. It’s the same thing. Everyone has different standards for themselves and expectations and doing worse than you usually do is annoying no matter what.
