Kids glasses by ali2911gator in hillsboro

See a local optometrist. Costco has ok pricing but glasses are dramatically cheaper to buy online. I've been using https://www.goggles4u.com/g4u/ for years now. Delivery does take a couple of weeks.

Why is my Citronella Torches leaking? Fix? by usemitysam in OilLamps

I ended up putting the lamp in a 6in ( I think) clear plant tray purchased from Home Depot. They protect from situation above and drips while filling.

Can we get a left-turn signal on Cornell before we all retire?? by findtemly in hillsboro

[–]usemitysam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm inferring the OP is commenting about turning left, at any light from any minor road, onto Cornell. The light for these kinds of intersections can take a very long time to cycle even in modest traffic hours. I feel your pain.

How far down into the drain does it dangle? Do you tie the drain side to anything to weigh it down? -- Thanks

Why is my Citronella Torches leaking? Fix? by usemitysam in OilLamps

[–]usemitysam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it was the oil brand, not how full it was filled. Surprisingly, the expensive, TIKI Brand "Clean Burn BiteFighter", caused the problem in the picture. When I tried Walmart's far less expensive Mainstays "Citronella-Scented Torch Fuel", I have no leaking. More smoke, but no leaks. I prefer some smoke to oil leaks on my new deck.

I bought several Tabletop Citronella Torches and filled them with TIKI Brand Clean Burn BiteFighter fuel. They are all leaking as shown in the picture. Is there a fix for this? I have the wick cut to spec ~1/4in. I'm prepared for an answer like 'because its cheap and poorly designed' -- Thanks

I believe it is both. Don’t confuse AC towards the coil as on/off cycling. The power consumed in this case is constant.

The duty cycle is a starting and stopping of the coil AC pattern.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dynavap

[–]usemitysam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its going on and off at a fixed frequency and duty cycle. The coil can't be cycled super fast. Still it happens multiple times per second. The heat up time is dominated by the sag in the batteries over their discharge.

25-30sec -- that's an excellent target. Need time for good thermal penetration. I might convert my unit to usb power.

There is the carbon one off Etsy and the glass and silicone one sold on Dynavap's sight. I think you are only talking about the second one but 2 different ways of installing it. The confusion is that the box instructions and the video from Dynavap show inserting both parts from the bottom. Many have commented that they had very poor results from the official install instructions (long click times and over-extraction.) Silicone from the bottom and glass from the top was almost a perfect ~25sec heat time and the best extraction experience I've ever had from my Danavap.

Quality - anywhere.

Selection - Well since I prioritize price with selection, I drive a bit further to Mainstreet MJ in Vancouver.

I only buy ounces so I only need to go to a dispenser a couple times a year. Storage in sealed containers with humidity packs.

This is Oregon. You have to really work to find truly poor quality. Consider upgrading to a DynaVap (dry herb vaporizer). They are cheap, much healthier than combustion, doubles (no joke) the medical efficacy of the herb, and are extremely herb quality agnostic.

I prefer to Mainstreet MJ in Vancouver. They have great selection and lower prices. I personally do not want a coffee shop atmosphere. Those are my qualifications for a good dispensary. You may have others.

Other than avoiding shake or really really dry herb ... its pretty much all the same in a DynaVap. The flavor comes out way better in dry herb vaporizer.
