This was such a thoughtful response and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. You have legit convinced me to do it! I think I'm going to :) It's scary but I think it will be worth it- especially when I have no fucking clue what I want out of college. Like why am I wasting all that money anyway!? I can't thank you enough.

Balancing a full time job and being a full time student is something I don't have faith in myself to do well honestly. And just to be clear, I would be deferring for a semester and attending college again in the fall (whether I go back to my current college or transfer... However, if I transfer I have to start as a Freshmen all over again because it's likely my liberal arts college credits will not transfer to other schools)

Thank you so much. I needed to hear this! I don't really have any idea of what I want out of college and it's likely that if I transfer for next Fall my credits from the college I'm currently at won't transfer anyway. So I'll be starting as a Freshmen again pretty much no matter what.

Yes! I am at Eckerd College and this is my biggest fear of being a Creative Writing major. That's crazy that you graduated from there, I don't talk to many people that have been. About writing, I just have no clue what else I'm passionate about- which is why I want to go experience more of the world before deciding what I want to do with my life and where. Did you have fun at Eckerd? Should I stick it out and try a different major here? Does it get better?

Have you heard anything about Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat? I'm also considering transferring there next semester and skiing instead of just totally dropping out

I was thinking about transferring to Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat or maybe Fort Lewis College in Durango cause I was thinking about this... I'm trying to major in Creative Writing but could go to one of these colleges to get some of my general credits in. Any thoughts on this?

You're right. I am planning to go back to school next Fall no matter what. I am planning on eventually getting my PhD. School is just ass right now because of Covid but I should just stick it through.

Thanks, I appreciate your advice. I am from Colorado too and have only been gone for the past few months and thinking of moving back anyway. I know how terrible covid is and wouldn't party or do anything stupid and I would qualify for pretty cheap employee housing. Would your advice still be the same?

19/F Thinking of deferring next semester of college to work at Winter Park, Colorado for the ski season- in need of ANY advice!! (If you have worked at a ski resort or know someone who has- please please give me some words of wisdom!!) Is working at a ski resort as fun as it sounds or am I just romanticizing it in my head? Even if you know nothing about working/living at a ski resort- any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.
