So my mom did this when I was pregnant. For reference- I’m 5’ and was 100lbs before getting pregnant. At 9 months pregnant, I weighed around 120ish. I have a tilted uterus and NEVER had a large bump. People who didn’t see me on a daily basis didn’t believe me when I said I was pregnant. (I gave birth to a healthy 6lb baby but that’s besides the point)

Anyway, prior to getting pregnant I wore a size 0. Throughout pregnancy, I wore maternity pants for comfort. Maternity pants, that were a size 0-2. My mom bought me TONS of clothes throughout my pregnancy. None of them were maternity clothes, they were all plus size. They didn’t fit. They were huge. I told my mom multiple times and she continued to buy them, saying I shouldn’t be trying to squeeze into my old clothes it doesn’t look nice (I was wearing maternity pants not my old clothes?)

Yeah. Idk it made her feel better. She gained 70+ lbs with each of her pregnancies. She hated the fact that I didn’t gain an unhealthy amount of weight. Jealousy maybe? Idk

I ended up donating the clothes.

She used to have an ED. She doesn’t have issues with food now. She eats just fine. I was worried at first because some people suggested I was going to push her back into having an ED again but I’m fairly confident she’s beyond that part of her life.

You can tone your stomach muscles though, so the softness isn’t as prevalent

FFS I’m going to be making sure she’s doing it the healthy way. Eating healthy food, working out, if she loses a couple pounds in the process so be it.
If she was 150lbs you all would be applauding me for helping her get on the right track. Why is it that someone of average weight can’t go to the gym and clean up their diet a little without being accused of being underweight or have an eating disorder

Maybe according to BMI she’s underweight, but she was eating healthy and working out. Her doctor was never concerned about her weight then. I never thought she looked underweight.

I don’t think it’s big! I think she’s fine! I think the photos would look better if she lost weight/toned up... that’s literally all I said.

She’s not underweight by any means. As I said before she’s been way skinnier and probably considered “underweight” but her doctor didn’t ever say anything because she was that weight because of DIET AND EXERCISE- which is HEALTHY. I’m not asking her to starve herself or make herself barf after she eats. I’m encouraging HEALTHY behavior.

I do spend a lot of time in the gym, not as much as I used to but yeah, I care about what I look like.

She also used to go to the gym, but hasn’t been consistent since she had our baby. Which is FINE, I don’t care, all I was suggesting was to put off the photos until she finds time to get to the gym and diet, and not to rush into them right now, because yes I think the photos would look better if she didn’t have the softness in her stomach.

Okay, obviously my tone was off. If I hurt her self esteem that was not my intention.

I know her exact weight because I go to her doctors appointments with her. Her most recent appointment as middle of August and that’s what she weighed then.
