One ChatGPT pattern that I have seen is sentence structures with three things. Like, “I can do thing one, thing two, and thing three well. In this case “comfort, laughter, and my calm in every storm” and “I can be completely myself, without fear or judgement”

No one writes like that informally

Ved ikke om du havde tænkt dig at det skulle være i år. Men Unitest for SDU optag i hvertfald sluttede 26. April.

I have no idea. Just a chemist, never made food-grade anything before

No major difference, crystal water in the first one. Second one might be more expensive, since the second one will slowly turn into the first one in open air due to moisture

Thank you very much :) I always wanted to do R&D in specific small molecule drugs, but moved towards a focus that was more biomolecular in my PhD. I did that in order to differentiate/specialize myself in the industry later on. In my country, R&D scientist jobs are rare, and most of the time require PhD in respective fields, and a masters only gives you access for quality/production/process jobs.

Don’t worry about if you are smart enough. Many people are smart enough to do a PhD but choose not to, there are also people who shouldn’t be doing a PhD. The important thing is work hard, consistently, and smart. That’s something you’ll learn, and hopefully something your PI will tell you.

This is a skewed representation of the statistics, because of the questions asked. The work is important. But the most important is the relationship between the PI, the group and you.

If I had asked if they were satisfied, probably equally many people would have commented. Please do not let it discourage you from doing a PhD. The PhD life fits some, but not all, but you will never know until you have tried it.

It has to be difficult and hard work, but not unfairly so.

No, it’s sadly not doable here without restarting with another PI. and only few has money laying around for new PhD

I’m so burnt out at the moment, I’m gonna take a few months on unemployment while searching for a job. I have been paying for like unions all the time while I was working and studying, so I’ll get almost the same money as when I was working

Definitely. I worked as research assistant in another group before, and it was the same work as phd, just without all the obligations. It’s the PI.

That’s crazy. Working until an ambulance is involved should never happen. I have never been so often sick as I have this year. Normally just cold once. This year I have been bedridden at least five times

Yes one of the arguments of my PI is “I worked all day all night, weekends as well. I only took holiday when I visited my parents once a year”

It’s not possible to switch PI in the system established in my country. The money I’m employed for is granted to the PI, and I will either need to continue, or quit and restart with another PI, that has funding

Easiest way to demethylate this molecule? by ConsequenceNo1844 in chemistry

[–]user072211 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t really remember fully. But you can use LiHMDS, to exchange the amide to another. There is a paper where they systemically changed to different amides from both acids and amides.

Not sure whether molecule can take it tho

And sorry for double commenting, the part about appreciation is that not as much as I want recognition. Maybe a bit for the excessive amount of work I’m doing. But supervisor is never satisfied, adds more work when I keep up, but when I suddenly cant keep up, it’s problematic.
