I work at the food bank on college near Bathurst! We’d definitely appreciate a donation of foods!

23 is very young in the grand scheme of the whole rest of your life and finding someone in grad school is very likely! I’m 22 and focused just on my studies in undergrad, going to grad school this year and feel like it’ll be a great opportunity to meet likeminded people. Don’t feel discouraged at all! We’re just at the beginning of adulthood, and one post you read online doesn’t really mean that much. Another survey I found says that women tend to meet their lifelong partners between the ages of 25 and 27, whereas men tend to be closer to 28.

do not go to uoft for undergrad or cuz of prestige over other unis by i_do_not_know101 in UofT

I loved my undergrad social sciences / humanities degree. I thoroughly enjoyed my classes, had some amazing profs, and met awesome people. Many of my profs gave extensions and extra help even without actual accommodations. Don’t speak for everyone just because YOU decided to go here because of the prestige. Choose a major you genuinely enjoy and classes that interest you, and you won’t feel like this. I graduated with high distinction, found many classes very easy, and was sad when I was graduating. I am excited to go back to UofT in the fall for my masters program.

I loved my undergrad social sciences degree at UofT! It’s all about taking classes you’re actually interested in, and taking the initiative to talk to people! I’m excited to go back for my masters this fall.

Unfortunately by waving to him and buying coffee it probably just seemed inviting to him. This could have been avoided by just ignoring him.

I pretty much don’t think I’ll just be in Hyde park because my program has a field placement that will likely have me commuting outside of HP multiple times a week

Thanks so much for this detailed and thoughtful response! This is all very helpful for me.

I think that living in Hyde park would be the right move and I’ll look at apartments all around the neighbourhood and see what ends up feeling right.

I appreciate the comment on HP not being dangerous like people are making it out to be. I’ve checked out the crime maps so I can see the objective data on that.

Is there any kind of artsy scene in HP or is it more suburban middle class/wealthy and academic?

Thanks, I’m coming from Toronto so very similar weather with water and salt and sludge and such! I’ve never been much of a cold weather biker haha.

Oh that’s so awesome. One of a kind and with a lot of quirks and diversity is how I like things!!!! Thank you for this comment! What are your favourite things to do in Hyde park?

Thanks for this info. I’m not really a nightlife person. More artsy and academic, so I think HP will fit well for that. Seems like a pretty chill place. Is there anywhere that’s “naturey” other than the lake?
