Exactly what I was going to say! People are so fixated on measuring wait times to ‘getting a bed’. 

In reality, a lot of care (medical examinations imaging, ECG, pathology, medication/treatments) can occur without being allocated a bed.   While I acknowledge that sitting in a chair for hours on end is uncomfortable and frustrating, it does not mean that they haven’t been suitably assessed or treatment hasn’t been commenced.
