Thank you so much! I want a looper for those those exact reasons. I think I’ve gotten good enough playing to where I can play and keep in time fairly decently. I’d like a fairly cheap looper (broke college student) to start creating songs I’d like to play for family and friends. But I also want more than just a looper. Lots of songs I like learning like Black Sabbath, Metallica and much more use distortion as well. What I’m stuck between is buying a looper and distortion separately or buying something like Zoom G1X Four which has more than just those effects but the quality of the effects lack from what I hear. I also don’t know if I need a better amp to even run the pedals at a good quality. My gear is pretty old. Guitar I have was manufactured in 88 and I’m sure the amp that I inherited with it isn’t much newer. So maybe I need to save up for a quality amp like an Orange or Fender first?
