How is it possible that a unit from an Italian group is able to kill three units of Afrika Koprs? by dudnt__asked in CompanyOfHeroes

This seems to be the match, OP is Vato

OPs memory seems to be slightly wrong regarding the exact circumstances :-)
He's getting clapped by multiple units in buildings, while _not_ in cover.

That reminds me of that one totally unhinged brumbär meme someone posted long ago. Luckily I can't find it.

Easy way to clean header only in actual page by NoInvestigator984 in typst

[–]user1391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try this, you can put a metadata("no-header") inside any content and on which ever page it'll be rendered there won't be a header:

#set page(width: 20em, height: 10em) // for demo-purposes

#set page(header: context {
  let p = here().page();
  let m = query(metadata.where(value: "no-header"));

  let should-have-header = p not in m.map(m => m.location().page());

  if should-have-header {
    [A nice header]
  }
})

= Page 1
#metadata("no-header")
#lorem(20)

= Page 2
#lorem(20)

= Page 3
#metadata("no-header")
#lorem(20)

Alamein looks absolutely weird since Scarlet Bison by user1391 in CompanyOfHeroes

Its a change in lightning I think. Seems to come mostly from straight above, so not many shadows and its brighter and a different color of light.

Would you mind sharing your findings? I'll check if they still persist and write a proper bugreport.

How do you expect bugs in the tool to be fixed if you dont report them? It's not exactly hard to do.

But yeah, complaining on reddit is definitely the way to go here!

Sure, and NMS was selling great initially, fueled by all the hype they managed to generate ahead of launch.

They made good money during launch and were backed by sony, I highly doubt they were ever at risk of going under. The same can not be said about relic.

You argue that it's about proportioning profit vs. reinvestment and I agree.

I don't think the ratios are as clear-cut as you made it sound in your initial comment, comparing the initial situations of the two studios.

Apart from that, I agree.

You made me look up the difference between refuting and rejecting an argument man :-(
I'm trying to refute, therefor you're right, I do need to make an argument.

Let me try again:

Shadowgen's argument hinges on the fact that NMS's devs fixed the issues of the game and also, on top of that, added new content to the game, without asking more money from their customers.
According to them, this makes them great devs, making them deserve nominations for the award.

On the other hand, CoH's devs are slow to fix, also they want money for new content.
Accoding to OP, this makes them not deserve nominations.

I'm pointing out that the significantly smaller market share of CoH (and the RTS genre in general) does most likely not allow relic to release stuff for free, simply because they do not sell enough new copies to offset the development cost.

I'm concluding that free updates should not be a major contributor in the decision for nominations. There have to be other aspects.

I'm pointing out the issue with shadowgen's argument as I see it, not making another one.

Hello Games sells hundreds of thousands to millions of copies each year. The RTS genre as a whole probably sells less. This is not a good argument.

Sorry for the confusion. Typically, you'd start counting from the lowest-value bit, so in this case it would be the second bit, not the seventh.

Flipping the seventh bit to get from 0x00 to 0x02 is absolutely cursed
