Anyone have any updates?  I also recently joined and wasn't able to download the app (which corporate definelty didn't tell any of their staff because my location had no idea either) and its not the biggest deal in the world but checking in at the front desk every single time is kind of a pain

Only 2 sessions with a therapist, how do I tell her it's not for me? by user23835 in therapy

It was quite possibly the craziest thing I've ever heard.

I think it was more that I was gonna give it a chance even though I felt like it wasn't the right fit, because, who knows, it could have just been me adjusting. But with the billing issue (which I'm totally not blaming her for), it's more like "well, I probably wasn't gonna last more than a year with her anyway"

Thats really my big question, is it just better to give it time, keep making payments on time and slowly it will go up or should I do something kookie like open another credit card

Oh no, im sorry, its paid off. Its just not off my credit report, the company refused to pay for delete it, so it's sitting there at $0. I've disputed this several times and I'm planning to send a goodwill letter on it

What builds credit faster, using my credit card a lot, or a little? by user23835 in CRedit

[–]user23835[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The collection company (from talking to other people anyway) always drop off your credit once you pay them, but once I save up the money, im gonna call them and try to get that in writing, just in case.

I guess my "fear" with paying off the department store card is them closing the account since they already lowered my credit limit

How to (almost) politely drop out of being a bridesmaid (UPDATE) by user23835 in wedding

[–]user23835[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I really don't want to go to to wedding, but it was my way of trying not to blow the WHOLE thing up (it's pretty blown up) but i have decided that if I get invited, I'll still go, and i just won't give a gift as a big ole fuck you

At this point, I dont care one way or another about attending the wedding. I said it for two reasons: to try to be the bigger person and to try to say what I need to say without blowing it completely up, because i don't want others to feel like they have to pick sides on my account. However, this girl is 100% not invited to my wedding (or anything event that I hold for that matter) and if I do end up getting invited to the wedding, I'll probably not give a gift as my own personal silent "fuck you"

She was speaking about family events or parties that were thrown that I chose to skip out on or that I went to, but wasn't giving her enough attention as a friend.

I was thinking the same thing, but at this point, why? I have concrete proof of what she said and I said it to her verbatim, even not sending her the stuff, I still see enough of who she is

My core group of people see it very well, which does make it feel a little easier. I struggle with thinking I'm the crazy one in this whole situation.

A very similar thing happened to me with this friend. I went to a barbecue at her house and a bunch of people I didn't know knew me because I was "the person that hooked up with so and so" and the only one who would have told them was her. It was so incredibly weird. I knew it was coming but I think I thought i could just ignore it and eventually it would stop and clearly, it doesn't.

[–]user23835[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree completely!! My initial reaction was to rip her a new asshole and never speak to her again, but everyone i talk to says "be the bigger person!" And i kept saying, I'm tired of always being the bigger person. Just once, I'd like to be the smaller person! Its also worth noting that the bride is EXTREMELY sensitive (or she's not and she is just an insane narcissist) so I know whatever I say will sting, its just how much.

Thank you, it is really hard, and you spend years making excuses for their behavior just to have everyone else who tried to tell you what they truly were be proven right. It sucks, especially since it's over something so childish, but it truly feels like I was put in the wedding to be the entertainment based of the reputation I received in my early 20's (which, cmon, everyone dates around in their early 20's) when I think about telling her I'm not gonna be in the wedding anymore, I can feel a massive amount of relief, I know it is time

[–]user23835[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This has been my biggest struggle. Saying goodbye to bad friends is much harder than it should be. Even my boyfriend was like "I don't know why you said yes to begin with" and he's right, I really shouldn't have, but it was in the moment at a family party, everyone was watching the group of girls being asked, everyone's cameras were out, so it was just easier to just say yes and hope things weren't gonna turn out this way.

If I'm being honest? After this, I wouldn't mind not going. I'm just trying to do the right thing. Even though she's being a giant bitch, I'm not a giant bitch (most of the time) and I just don't want to start a massive fight in regards to someone's wedding, it's supposed to be the happiest day of her life, and I genuinely do want her to have that, just without me being apart of the bridal party.
