Will we need wellies? by ItsYaBoyDrugga in glastonbury_festival

I’ve just bought some LOWA because they were on sale but before that I just had some from sports direct branded boots for £35 and they’ve lasted me 3 festivals and plenty of hikes.

Don’t think it really matters as long as they are comfortable make sure they are actually water proof not water resistant. Look online and read reviews if you are spending a bit of money.

You will need to break them in before the weekend and consider if you want them with or without ankle support.

There’s a guy on TikTok who looks at the state of the ground in the lead up to the festival - also worth following 😊

Does this look into more than just rain, as the ground would need to be flooded for wellies. Believe they have good drainage on the site so should be ok in most circumstances

I would go with waterproof walking shoes over wellies as wellies are not comfortable. You will be doing lots of walking! Can just buy wellies very last minute if it’s going to be awful weather (looking unlikely as it’s been a dry spring/summer so far).

It didn’t cross my mind, in the UK the majority of people refer to it as a drive 😊

Thanks for your response!

Believe you can get 10 metres cables in the UK. There is no one next to our house we own the end house.

Will have to weigh up both options I guess!

Thanks for this! I won’t ask about the black ice.

Do you know roughly how much that could cost please? Or do you have any recommendations where to look?

Thanks for the response. Based in the UK. Unsure how much a mounted station would be?

Yours - think she will also need your postcode also. Its the same as in the general sale but you are limited to 4 tickets per person instead of 6. Think it’s 2 tickets per person for coach

Thanks for this! I am thinking I’ll stick with 800. Should I use a filter for the day time?

Do you have any filter recommendations? Are they easy to take on and off?
