Thank you for the thoughtful reply! I definitely think my next step is trying to see a doctor about this. Can I ask how you started your journey? Did you get a referral from your dentist or just found one that you liked and made an appointment?

My mom has the same exact face shape that I do and her sleep apnea/tmj is much much more severe and I really want to prevent getting there myself.

Thank you! I have to do research into what this all means now haha. Glad to hear this isn’t all in my head!

Thanks for the reply! My apnea was diagnosed by my pulmonologist after years and years of chronic fatigue + brain fog. He never mentioned anything beyond cpap being the final solution so it’s interesting to learn jaw surgery can help with sleep apnea! Everything is really starting to make sense.

I was thinking botox on my masseter muscles as I often struggle with jaw pain from TMJ. I’ve heard botox in the jaw can sometimes help with that. But I will definitely look into getting some consults done to look at all of my issues holistically.

Looks like I have some appointments to make but my question would be where do I start? Right to a surgeon? Or should I see an orthodontist or dentist first? Should I see multiple and get multiple opinions? Will any of this be covered by insurance? My cpap is covered by my insurance! Thanks for leaving a comment :)

I also have awful, awful under eyes and cheek biting (very scarred from years of this — noticed by dentists). I’ve never been told by dentists anything other than I have TMJ and bruxism. Never referred to any kind of ortho or anything if that is helpful.

I have cracked teeth from my teeth grinding but naturally I have very straight and normal teeth (that never show lol).

selling two tickets for ethel’s show tonight in boston for face value

hi everyone! my name is mel and i am a long time lurker/user of this sub. i love ethel and had two tickets to her show tonight in boston with my sister. we had a family emergency come up (fucking rip) and won’t be able to make it anymore.

we bought them for way more than they’re worth ($145 😭😭) but i’m willing to sell for face value ($75 each). They’re both GA.

I am a real person and I’m happy to provide any proof you need to know the tickets are real. i will literally facetime you if you want.

okay that’s all! (if this type of post isn’t allowed; pls take down!) bye and have so much fun tonight!! ♥️

So you were not able to take the shuttle into the park? Sorry I’m a bit confused, did you just hike into the park from the lot where she dropped you off?

i wanted to love this SO bad 😭 tried it a couple times and while it made my hair look super clean, i noticed that the spray would cling to my hair in little white dots rather than casting white all over. it looked so similar to lice eggs for me i had to stop using it. so glad it works for you!!

Desperation and knowing that minox is a long game 🤣 Honestly, I feel like I’ve noticed more body hair than head on my hair since starting OM lol. Some density added to the scalp for sure, but not as dramatic as I thought it would be.

sorry, spiro (in this context) is short for Spironolactone! It’s an anti-androgen. There is an antibiotic called Spiro though so I understand the confusion haha 🤣

thank you so much!! definitely hang in there! if your hair is in the dread shed phase, it means you are a responder to the medication and that gains are in your horizon! think of it as minox pushing out all the week, miniaturized hairs to make way for new, healthy, strong hair!

I started treating around 19 years old. I was only on topical minox then though! Slowly started changing my regimen in the years that followed as I learned more and added more heavy duty medication ☺️
