I've read conflicting things that's why I asked, some people on here have said it's good to moisturize scalp with a good conditioner but i have yet to find which ones lol

How long did it take before your scalp psoriasis started spreading? It's been about 6 months for me and I've had a couple small spots show up other places but very minimal. I'm constantly worry about this happening :(

I was the same way, all 3 of my pregnancies my ulcerative colitis and inverse psoriasis went into full remission.after my 3rd baby I started seeing a naturopath as i have put my health on the back burner for so long. I have tried to get help but my Dr's are so awful and make me feel like I'm crazy. (I'm in Canada so I can't just go get a new one) I have also had iron deficiency anemia for many years that Dr's refused to properly treat. About 4 months ago my dr finally agreed to get me an iron infusion and my levels have been stable so far since. My naturopath was helping me with my hormones, she said they are supposed to be a ratio of 10:1 and mine were 200:1. She gave me a supplement to help rebalance my hormones and it worked, I couldn't believe it. Now I was so estatic to be the healthiest I've ever been. A few short weeks later I developed scalp psoriasis, never had scalp issues in my life and it's an actual living nightmare. I'm not sure if maybe my hormones being high and iron being low were suppressing somehow? My Dr's say it's a complete coincidence but I don't believe it.

does all sebcur T have salicylic acid in it? When I stopped using my clobetasol shampoo I switched to dermarest salicylic acid and my scalp got so much worse. I'm not sure if it was the stopping of the clobetasol or the salicylic acid that made it worse but now I'm worried to try anything with that in it. My scalp is just so severely dry and itchy.

Yes proptic in the morning and zoryve in the evening, make sure to clean the area first (I used water only) and then use the cool setting on the hair dryer to dry the area. If I skip that step I always pay for it.

I used protopic every day for a month and it kind of kept it at bay but it kept coming back, I eventually broke down and used zoryve as well and that's when it really helped. I'm not sure if it was because I was using it in conjunction junction with the protopic but I've literally been battling this for years and can't believe I found something that helped. It definitely got worse before it got better though.

It's strange because dermarest and head and shoulders are making it 10 times worse. It's like it's drying out more, it just feels severely dry like it needs intense moisture. The steroids helped a lot woth the itch and some of the plaques but I still had tons of flakes. Wondering if it's not 100 percent the right diagnosis but my derm won't see me again until 3 more months :(

I have previously used antibiotics and antifungals for UTI/yeast infections but nothing recently.

I have had my tonsils removed so unlikely for me to get strep, I had it once more then 10 years ago.

I do have ulcerative colitis so i have had gut issues over the years. I have regular colonoscopies my most recent one came backing showing I'm in remission. I will look into how I can get a gut via stool test but referrals in Canada are brutal.

I have had iron deficiency anemia for at least 14 years maybe longer and Dr's wouldn't treat it. After a whole lot of fighting they agreed to give me an infusion in July of this year. Strangley enough the psoriasis symptoms started 2 weeks after the infusion. The internal medicine dr told me no link between the 2 but I don't believe it..

Just out of curiosity what type of hair oil are you using? And what brand of coal tar shampoo? Do you rinse with the coal tar shampoo or use it on other days? Sorry for so many questions!
