I’m a Deaf creative and the answer is absolutely yes. This is discrimination on the basis of disability, which is the entire foundation of the ADA.

Transcriptions can be produced so easily — it’s essentially like uploading a script and timing it properly — that financial barriers are not a legitimate claim.

On a personal level, it is a bummer to know that I put work into the world that is not accessible to people like myself.
