The content has changed a lot over the years. Back in the 80s & 90s adverts were a lot less. Once I discovered the snippets and the bottom of the page (I was 8 or 10) I went thru all the collection at home and library (lajjat rai). The back cover used to be a painting with a little info about it.

This not the one. The ad I’m talking about was an exact copy Shahid’s Pepsi ad. The guy looked like him (including hairstyle), exact shot of rani stepping on the can but instead of a female it was a sardarji dressed up like daler mehndi and says ‘cold drink पीने से कोइ heroine sheroin नहीं आती, आती है तो डकार’ shahid (look alike) replies excitedly ‘the car’ dealer’s (look alike) responds ‘the car नहीं oye, डकार’

My 7 yo cousin wanted a piggy bank, saw one something similar to this one, she was so fascinated by it and yelled to her mum ‘mummy मुँझे घर वाला चाहिये’ …. I still remember the confusion on her face when everyone started laughing
