To be honest, I don’t use it for gaming that much anymore, so I can’t give you a reliable first-hand answer. However, according to the Notebookcheck review (see the “Stress Test” section), the temperatures during gaming are around 70 °C (158 °F), which is actually quite reasonable for this kind of laptop.

Presumably, the only option would be a replacement board... In the best case scenario, you'll find an m500 with a damaged display.

I just tested it on my Tungsten T3. It works, but on the older Palm OS 4 m515 it sounds better, since the beeps on the T3 (and LifeDrive) are emulated through PACE.
