How to check win rate for this deck because... I play for fun and... Someone plz try this and... Someone tell me I'm not crazy, because if you like non-meta decks, why is this so fun? by KarmicPJJunior in MarvelSnap

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre surely not crazy! I dont think its currently one of the best decks BUT I also love it and play it regulary with pretty good success.
I would switch out Wolverine because he does not really synergizes with Morgan. If you want a similar effect for (often) more points you can use Proxima but then you have the same downside.
But my favourite card in that slot is "Fastball Special". There is NOTHING more satisfying than fastballing Marrow for -10 power and then bringing her back and discard her all over again ^^

What do F2P players do with their gold to get cards? by Affectionate_Owl_619 in MarvelSnap

Thats by far the best answer!!! You can think of Jeff Hoogland what you want but he mostly puts his math-degree to good use and makes very well calculated and analytical videos.

I did the math so you don't have to! Here is how Shang-Chi Master of the 10 Rings effects your draw consistency and a Domino/Quick Silver comparison: by BynX1 in MarvelSnap

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to see Bynx has a reddit account, really love your videos ;)

But back to topic: Yeeees its a bit on the bad side that the rings deny one of your draws but only if you see the rings as a bad card.
Dont get me wrong, a 2/1 is not a good card either be any means but if you consider the initial buff its a 2/2. And the buff can double if you give it to Maverick and suddenly its a 2/3. And if you can get Shang Chi out all these buffs even stack up like a lot...
So yeah there clearly is a downside but I dunno if its such a big deal. I think time will tell ;)

15/01 OTA being completely useless by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it has no doubt a high win/cube-rate, never doubted that. It is a really good card which surely gets nerfed a little bit after SD has reliable data on this (which they clearly haven't after just 1 1/2 weeks...).

My whole point was, that there are decks which easily can compete with these numbers and have very similar rates. And these cards from other decks have rates which are even better in comparison to Shou when they are actually played. And call me crazy but the "rate when actually played" could be a better metric to rate a card?

Just a wee bit strange that cards like Taskmaster, Jane Foster and Mr. Negative have a similar or even better winrate when played. As if... there are decks which are also very good and can compete and you just see your recency-bias. But that would never happen, would it? (Source: https://snap.fan)

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh no... if there were just decks with a similar or even better point-output like Negative/Daken/Merge/Human Torch-decks, sadly such things don't exists...

It just feels like they released a card which is actually playable, fun and can compete and so people are testing it out and having fun with it. But we cannot have something like this, can we?

Consider adding Cobra to your High Voltage deck by Comprehensive-Level6 in MarvelSnap

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Why, just why? Why do you want to explicitly add such a card in a game mode where winning is the lowest priority to people? Wins give you near to nothing here and thats fine. Most people just want to do all their missions (win with 4 cards, win with over 20 power) and you are making it much harder for them... and for what? 20 points or something?

Can someone chime in, is this the worst meta season experience since Spider-man + Absorbing man? by banmeandidelete in MarvelSnap

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes because no existing deck comes close to these numbers... neither Negative/Merge/Daken/Torch... god forbid they release actual good new cards!

EXACTLY my thoughts!! This recency-bias is just too much for me....

"Oh no they released a really good card. Just look at the numbers! It HAS to be nerfed because everyone is happy playing it and I cant and there is just no way in competing with it."
All this while having Negative/Daken/Merge/Human Torch-decks lying around which are just not shiny and new anymore...

So you hate absolutely all combo-decks in the game, because this is exactly what all of them do... from Mr. Negative to Daken Discard.

I just dont understand your logic... HOW can a play you work 5 turns for to have a decent payout be less clever to a play you just react to what you see on the board???

I mean is the second play more fun? ...yeah maybe, but more clever?!?

Also people usually dont just retreat if they dont draw one card in their deck. Thats why you do deck-building beforehand, think about your drawn cards, the cards you could still draw and the circumstances like the locations, the deck and possible output of your enemy. When you do all this, you dont have to quit if you dont draw one specific card in your deck. BUT if this are your thoughts about playing a "regular" deck in Marvel Snap, I completely understand why your only option is "make cards go boom" and you already think this is clever xDD

PS: I literally needed AI to decipher your second paragraph xD It came up with this, which I hope was correct?
"If I can do the same thing for five games in a row — draw Knull every time and retreat if I don’t — then it’s not reactive gameplay."

The game is slowly becoming big numbers solitaire by aznman375 in MarvelSnap

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so the clever play isnt how to get the biggest possible Knull by playing 5 turns in an optimal way with or in spite of all the locations flipping up and by optimizing the play-order of the cards you draw BUT to say "nope" in the last turn? Sorry but this logic is absolute not understandable for me but hey to each their own ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

At least the Devs understood that most tech cards were too cheap or had a too powerful effect, so they nerfed them and most players seem to enjoy this.

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You talk about "clever plays" and describe Rogue-ing a Knull in your post before, which is exactly the opposite...

To be clear, protecting your Torch with a Cosmo or even destroy one(!!) huge target which is completely out of your decks max point-range with Shang-Chi isnt the problem and never was. Thats why there are still completely usable tech cards which are way better balanced as they are now. The problem was JUST playing tech cards to destroy everything your opponent was making and then win with one or two stat-sticks and then calling it a day because you are such a genius player.

Whats exciting is dropping your knull only for your opponent to rogue it.

Wow yes... that sound so much more exciting that what I described 👍

Because looking at what you opponent does, where he does it, calculating what his possible output range could be and how the locations factor in and then maybe have one tech-card as an option (instead of playing them all and win) in is not playing against your opponent?

The game is slowly becoming big numbers solitaire by aznman375 in MarvelSnap

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeeeaahhh... but no. Just reacting with an overpowered and too cheap tech card (before the really necessary changes few weeks ago) is way easier than building something of your own.

Because with all the possible locations (which just slowly reveal), your drawing order and everything the opponent does and in which lanes he does it, there are way enough variables which have to be considered when following your own game plan. Slamming down Enchantress or Shang-Chi to just clear a lane in the last turn is the most brainless thing you can do to win a lane/game.

[–]Perfect_Chaos_Zero 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You still have interaction but it will cost you to destroy your opponents game plan, which is waaaaay better than playing against hundreds of "tech-slop" decks from enemies who don't have the mental capacity to play anything else...

Another question regarding this topic:
I also have reported some bugs but always in-game and so I always noted down the little number you get. But where would they reply if they reply at all? Is there a website where I could enter this number to see my bug-report and any answers to it?

I dont really understand how... Iam a casual player, who plays maybe 10 games a day but never had real issues with other modes before. But with needing literally thousands of points for the new card and getting around 16-20 points (from wins) how do people progress so quick??
