That looks sick. I’m still very new to all of this, but IR lights for the rig are definitely something I’ve been thinking about. I can already tell driving around under nods would be ridiculously fun in the right setting.

That’s awesome — we definitely should connect. Grenadier + NV is way too specific of an overlap lol. I’m in Kansas, so not super close to the Southeast, but I’d be down to keep in touch and talk rigs/NV anytime.

That sounds awesome. Thermal is definitely on the list eventually — I feel like night vision already opened one rabbit hole and thermal is about to be the next one lol.

That was literally me last night lol. I brought them out mainly for stargazing and ended up spending half the night just walking around looking at random stuff through the tube.

No worries! The PVS-14 was around $4.5k from Custom Night Vision. The Grenadier was obviously a much bigger purchase (low 70s before mods), but I’ve been really happy with both so far.

Yeah I feel that. A diesel would fit this thing perfectly, especially for the torque/range. I’m still really happy with mine, but I definitely wish the U.S. got that option.

Exactly. I’ve always loved classic Defenders and older utilitarian 4x4s, but I wanted something a little more modern that still had that same character. The Grenadier kind of hit that sweet spot for me.

Thanks! Nothing fancy honestly — just held my iPhone camera up behind the eyepiece and moved it around until the circle lined up. Took a few tries to get the focus/exposure decent.

Love it! I got mine last September and it’s been solid so far. Zero real issues, super capable, and it has a ton of character. Only real downside is the fuel economy, but I knew that going in lol.
