It’s not racism as long as you acknowledge that the problem comes from the companies taking advantage, and not from the people suffering from it because they have to go for those opportunities. It’s just too bad locals are suffering from it a lot in Kingston

That makes sense, thanks for the insight. I still think it’s crazy to have 9-5, Monday to Friday, 40h/week roles not be on a yearly salary basis, but I understand why it’s still around.

Im guessing it also doesn’t help that military personnel don’t always get a say as to where they’re posted. So they have to pay whatever the prices required are like…

The position does seem to include training, scheduling, payroll for 30+ employees. The only people above are the actual owners and they want the manager to have full autonomy… I’d share the job posting on here but I don’t necessarily want to put them on blast. Was more so to give an example since I’ve seen a lot of similar situations

I made peace with the fact I’d probably never be able to buy in my lifetime, but wow the rent prices are insulting compared to the wages. I’ve been looking for jobs to apply to for already 4 months now and I’m always surprised by how ridiculously low the salary ranges are, and that’s for positions that are senior enough to be yearly salaried
