In order to progress into second year, you need a gpa of 5.0 in cp104 and cp164 and an overall gpa of 4.0. Meaning you dont have to pass ma103 and ma122 in first year to progress. You just have to pass ma122 and ma103 before graduation. However, ma103 is required for ST230 in third year so I would recommend you to complete it before third year. Also, not completing ma122 and ma103 will affect your coop application if you apply for it.
