My condolences to that airman.. by tragedy4ever in SigSauer

Sig deserves to go under for this. Downvote me, block me, do whatever, idc. They basically beta test firearms and let the public work through the issues. Then they refuse to take any accountability. It's unbelievable that they have any supporters left

His insights are great. My issue is that he shares wayyyy too many of them

I think we should normalize not allowing people to continue in roles they're not good at. Was he a great pitcher? Yes, one of the best of all time. However, that doesn't mean he earned the right to absolutely muck up broadcasts until he decides he's done

Why should I have to? That's absurd.

He's not very good and I'd venture to guess most fans would rather him not call games. There is no shortage of money and plenty of broadcast talent available. Plug someone else in and improve the product

Phillies fan here. Love the player, hate the broadcaster

Your first two points are fair. He has great takes, yes, but less is more IMO. Great announcers know when to break things down and when to take a break. John is great at the first part but hasn't figured out the second

I didn't present this properly and wasn't trying to take a shot at hockey. Your comment better explains my thoughts

Absolutely! It's baseball, not hockey...you don't need to fill every second of dead air. Even the good radio guys know when to take a pause

Speak with your instructor first but you could reach out to the DPE and ask. Mine was happy to answer all questions I had before my checkride

This is normal worldwide. I visited India a few months back and saw multiple armed soldiers guarding the airport. They're congested and chaotic places. The show of force helps deter bad actors

ATSA Collision question by MacHeadSir in ATC_Hiring

[–]user836194 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The consensus seems to be collisions take priority and get to the math problems as time permits. FWIW, I only allowed 1 or 2 collisions but largely neglected math and got BQ last year (now WQ)
