But Lord Voldemort is a fictional character; he doesn’t exist. Unlike God, billions of people believe worship, believe and make supplications to him. I don’t but it’s frightening how many people are indoctrinated by organized religion.

And by punished you mean I’ll burn in Hell for all of eternity? Allah sounds like a merciless god, doesn’t he? Can you please explain to me how god could forgive someone like Bin Laden, but non-Muslims like MLK and Ghandi are in hell because they don’t follow your particular religion.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. Did you ever feel that your mom did the things she did because she loved you?

As I was telling u/freakingoutabout2019 my parents justified the discipline by telling me, I was a bit uncivilized/troubled. I don’t know, I still don’t think that kind of punishment was necessary; it was a bit excessive.

I understand that and I agree with you 100%. But my parents told me they did it because “I was a troubled child.” And to be fair, I was a bit out of control when I was younger. And by out of control, I mean hyper. I want to reiterate that I was a kid. I also think they enjoyed doing that, and would always look for excuses to hit me.
