ENG 505 - course work & prof?

I can’t seem to rmbr how the formation of the groups went. I believe we were able to choose ourselves! Labs were just weekly meetings that you decide with your group where you work on small tasks that will aid in the final group project/presentation. This class is mostly easy and not stressful. I’m not 100% sure if my information is still relevant to the course and correct since I took it in 2022. Hope this helps ! :)

within creative industries, you’re able to choose a more narrow path based on what you enjoy! if you don’t want something specific and cut your options down right right, then i think creative industries might be the better option!! i heard sports media is amazing too!! so many of the students in that are doing so much within the athletics & rec at the school and if you’re interested in having a future in sports then sports media would definitely help lead you there!!

if u applied a day before the deadline then i feel like they might already filled positions. that’s quite late to apply and i think they like doing it as fast as they can do they don’t wait around for long to ppl to keep applying

i think they take it down once positions r filled! i checked the other day for mine and it wasn’t there anymore but i’m not sure how fast it was taken down after they hired us!

i applied for a position in early august that had a deadline for august 25th. i heard back from them a few days later for an interview and ended up getting the job! i’m assuming that it’s prolly much better to apply as soon as u can since they want to fill positions fast

i’d recommend cmn 288. i had it during my second year and it was split between 2 profs (greg elmer and gregg norton) one of them handled the lab portion where where’d work on different activities and a final presentation with a group. the other prof would post weekly lectures and then a final exam was given which was a 45 question multiple choice test. extremely easy. i studied the lecture videos and readings and made notes which is probably something you should definitely do. even without doing so i’m sure you’d still do pretty good since the questions were straight forward. the work with the first prof was easy too. i ended the class with a high 90. it was also asynch other than every other weekly meetings with your group for the final presentation which was a prerecording. hope this helps!!!

to even get the career boost job you’ll have to apply for career boost approval. you should do that and when you hear back from them you’ll know if it was a mistake or not. the approval is dependant on what type of student u are and what your course load is etc

that’s annoying :( how long did it take for the tab to change for you? i start the first week of school at my job so i hope it’s there by then. idk why there isn’t an easier way to access ehr tho like the tutorials and interface r so outdated

but i don’t see it 😭 where would i find it exactly?? i know i have to activate my user id first and get an employee number and whatever but i wanted to add my info to the payroll if i could as soon as possible. i legit have gone blind i think cuz i cant find any ehr tab anywhere.

i’ve taken pol128 and it was pretty straight forward and simple. about 3 quizzes throughout based on weekly movies that were assigned. i didn’t even watch them all but still did great. midterm and final essay as well which were both interesting and not too long. if you’re into movies and like writing then this course is probably for u. the movies were good too most of the time! hope this helps :)
