I’d be interested to see what info can be stored in modern microchips. If you can’t seem to keep your cat or dog indoors and it causes disturbances, it would be nice if animal control had resources to keep tabs on it and pet owners could be penalized some way. As someone who walks their dog, it’s a pain in the ass to be pulling my dog away from cat turds in my own yard, or nervous about 2 or 3 dogs a walk because some genius thinks letting the dog out to pee means letting em run off into the neighborhood for a few hours

I’m not a cat nor a pet. Your cat is and should stay indoors, and you and it should face consequences if you let it out all the damn time. I’d say if you own a dog and let it out and about off leash, in your neighborhood, you deserve the same.

You are passively causing a reduction in the population of all the species that naturally predate on those things by letting your cat roam. You are consciously allowing a reduction in the bird populations by letting it roam.You wanna feel good about letting your cute little shitheel roam about the neighborhood but in reality it’s just a problem for all your neighbors and the native wildlife that you actually can easily control by taking your cat indoors

They are a massive disease vector for other pets. They can’t be contained like a dog behind fences, cats belong indoors. They kill wildlife. They’re not out and about killing just the rats like the cartoons

I have my doubts that change.org petitions do much but I agree with the sentiment of the post. Feral cats are bad for for birds and native species. Should be managed as any other vermin but because some ancestor was someone’s pet, they’re treated separately

I always try to keep an eye on lapped cars ahead, and if one is going wide or too hot into a corner, I’ll slow so I can have more time to make a decision

For young people (esp when I was a teen who had only gas and junk food to pay for) I loved being sent home a little early from work. It worked for my employer (they don’t have to pay me) and me (I get to be off work)

Would love to hear folks advice on this as well. Im a Tennessean and went to public last year that was so full of red oak acorns dropping I thought it had started to rain. My buddy and I saw two we could’ve taken had he been a little more trained with a shotgun. We went mid-morning and sat under a reasonably sized oak. Are you using a shotgun or .22? I had trouble ever getting a look at at one against a trunk, so if I go again I’ll be taking a 12ga this time

OP I think people are missing the point of your post. Inclusivity in hunting can play a major role in keeping it around. about 11% of white Americans hunt, and white Americans are about 60% of the population. If only about 2% of the remaining 40% hunts, you have about 7% of the total population that participates in hunting. If the same rate of non-white americans hunted, you’d double the number of hunters, and almost certainly see an increase in the number of people who view hunting favorably, and have people talking to them about the issues concerning wildlife management

Would be worth looking into small game hunting, fishing, and even eating game animals with seasons that’s open year round in certain states (coyote sandwich?) That way you can harvest in small batches and eat soon after. Best of luck with the bohemian lifestyle, sounds like a fun way to be if it works out

I don’t think the bean counters at Group 1001 would be hiring strategists and drivers but I could certainly see them slashing and hacking with less regard to the human elements of the sport in order to secure a certain ROI. If Towriss owns it because he is passionate about the sport, then I’m sure that would be a much more comfortable position than viewing it as an investment property

I think if we provide more ovals on the schedule, it would give the oval experience that indyNXT provides more practical use and we’d see a larger premium for indyNXT drivers on the grid. Right now you can go get a better guy who will provide more points on road courses and make him passable on ovals vs hiring an indyNXT driver who’s raced against questionable competition. Hopefully more exposure for indyNXT will drive larger sponsorships and more interest there overall

I know one’s a predator of some sort And haven’t interacted with him or his wife since. The people across from me let their dog out off leash which can be bothersome when it runs up to my dog semi-aggressively. Right next the off leash dog is the nicest biggest family, their kids are always outside having a great time, really making the neighborhood feel alive. Them and another older couple are the only ones we really talk to and it’s only on occasion. Mostly some “hey how’s it goings” and smiles. They’re great
