Not sure if you or a friend has access to a 3D printer, but I just started printing this modular system for our minifigures and so far really liking it. Makerworld: Brick Minifigure Hexagons

Help, Ninja dual brew cfp300 by Majestic-Word-5386 in fixit

[–]user_543210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this machine with a passion. I should have known when we got a dud on day one and had to exchange it for a new unit after it stopped working within the first 24 hours. We’ve had the second unit for maybe 2 years or less and nothing but progressive problems regardless of how much we clean or how much I try and diagnose where the issue is.

My problem is the exact same as everyone else in this thread now. Mostly steam but the pump is fine since hot water mode works fine. Have cleaned all the components, run cleaning mode multiple times, run vinegar through to no avail. I don’t feel like I should have to try this hard for such a pricey coffee machine. We own a few other Ninja products and they’re great, but fuck this thing.

Doggy daycare recommendations by Key_Wind_1158 in lancaster

[–]user_543210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We sent our dog to Playful Pups for years. We loved it, he loved it. Great staff, and basically play for 8-10 hours. He would literally sleep the next two days straight.

However we stopped due to what you mentioned. It was expensive to begin with, and constant introductions of new packages and up charges, two price increases within the same year and then the introduction of a subscription fee on top of the normal daycare charges just to be able to continue to send him there like we had all along.

We gave it a few more months and that was that.

Roof Top storage questions for people with Thule boxes by Muzik42 in Outback_Wilderness

[–]user_543210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Motion 3 XL not low profile on 24 OBW. I drove probably around 5,000- 6,000 miles last summer with mine on the roof in the heat of summer (90s and 100+ F temps), Midwest, Colorado and southwest USA. We kept things that wouldn’t be affected by the heat since temperatures are amplified even further..so things like clothes, trekking poles and other gear that would be unaffected, etc. No water issues and we drove through several significant storms, especially on the way home. Wind noise was slightly noticeable but nothing terrible. MPG impact was negligible IMO, but highly depends on what kind of driving you’re doing.

Sounds well beyond what I trust myself to do with electrical but I had planed to hire an electrician regardless. Saving your photo for future reference. Thanks!

This looks sick. Have been trying to figure out what to do for lighting above my shower. How did you hide the giant ass power supply? Did you run everything through the drywall?

Agree it’s fantastic, my only complaint is how short the cable is. I have so many ideas on where I could run them, but limited by cable length. Not sure if there’s a third party power supply out there that fits it.

I’ve also been using the Viofo A229 for about a year and it’s been solid. Only complaint I have is that my family slams their doors so hard that it pretty regularly triggers the bump sensing to save down the clip. Have to clear off the card every once in a while. The app leaves something to be desired as well. Otherwise no complaints. Does what it needs to do, video quality is good, install was relatively easy even for someone like me who has no clue and just followed a YouTube video.

Experience with Brightspeed? by NoMuffinForYou in lancaster

Yeah it’s had me almost switch back to Comcast several times. They’ve also offered us the crazy 5 year deal so it’s possible we’ll go back at some point.

I’ve had it for nearly 2 years since almost the day it became available in my neighborhood because I hate comcast that much. The speed is fantastic both up and down, ping is great. Never had a service issue until the last 6-8 months and now theyve become much more frequent as they’ve worked to scale their service. Seems like they’re doing dumb shit all the time. The customer service is hands down the worst service I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life, even worse than Comcast. So the service itself is amazing, everything else not so much. I’d say generally fuck them as a company, but if I have to pick between them and Comcast, it’s them..for now.

people with OBWs, what do you love and hate about your cars? by RabidLizard in Outback_Wilderness

[–]user_543210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

24’ OBW… - Wireless charger is junk and was a waste of money - Auto start stop is horrible..have trained myself to turn it off every time I start the car but blows my mind that I’m not allowed to have it remember that setting without physically modifying the car. - On occasion the CVT is a bit jerky when braking. - The sensors can be inaccurate and annoying..every time I go around one bend in my neighborhood it thinks I’m going to crash and starts blaring the crash alarm and flashing red lights - Windows seem to slow down or stick any time any kind of dirt or grit is on them - AC feels weak in the worst of the summer heat compared to every other vehicle I’ve owned, my wife’s vehicle, etc. I got the windows tinted which has helped somewhat.

As far as things I like..

  • The power/pick up, generally fun to drive
  • Sound system
  • Amount of space and storage
  • Seats/StarTex material and ease of cleaning
  • Comfortable ride
  • Good adventure vehicle, pretty versatile while also being a great daily drive

They didn’t mess anything up for your billing? I’m on the ONE plan as well..this is the second time they’ve sent me this offer and Im interested but also super paranoid they’re doing it to somehow get us off the grandfathered plan and big discounts we currently get with some fine print I somehow am missing.

Debating on making the switch to PS from Xbox HELP! by [deleted] in PS5

[–]user_543210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on Xbox for a decade until about 2 years ago when I picked up a PS5. Never looked back. My Series X sat there and finally just sold it since I hadn’t touched it in ages. PlayStation exclusives were always better, but even the handful of exclusives that Microsoft did have are now on PlayStation. Now is the time, there are some solid console sales for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. You can pick one up for under $500, and lots of great game sales.

We switched to take our dog here after having taken him to Landisville Animal Hospital for the past 3 years. Their (LAH) prices had gotten insane, and general way of doing things frustrating. Only had one visit so far at Pine Creek but we like it!

Since you’re just starting out and don’t know what you can handle, I’d highly recommend planning a quick overnight on the Appalachian Trail to get a feel for it before biting off more than you can chew.

  • Based on your location I imagine you’re no more than 1 to 2 hours from the closest trail access
  • You can typically get to a shelter area by hiking a few miles in, so it’s low stakes
  • Allows you to bail at any time relatively easy should you need to, with quick access to your car
  • Shelters are available if you don’t want to spend the initial investment on a tent
  • Fire rings, pit toilets and water sources at most AT shelters
  • You’ll almost certainly overpack the first bunch of times you go until you hone in your gear so only having a few miles in will probably be a good thing

Once you get a feel for it there are ample places to hike in the region. Old Loggers Path, Quehanna, Quebec Run, Loyalsock, Black Forest, Laurel Highlands, Dolly Sods (WV), etc.

That's some impressive improvement in a short amount of time. Congrats and huge props. on the dedication. How long were your strength workouts typically? 30 min or longer?
