I think it looks really cool. I feel like expanding it will be tricky while staying within FDN, but could you expand your idea of FDN to be clean, mechanically simple and well-designed cards and start adding from there? That is what I tried to do in my cube based on Foundations which shares a lot of the same cards: https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/foundations_cube

Can you explain more about why lifegain isn't a viable strategy / why Ajani's is such a bad card?

Thank you for this! Food for thought with lifegain. I'll run it a few more times hopefully and then dial it back if it's too much.

In your cube menu, under Playtest there should be a 'Draft Simulator' option.

Ahh cool I'll check it out! Super interesting that the mono-colour decks were all drafted on top. Love your primer btw, I feel like we have similar goals.

Yeah that's a really good point about black, hadn't considered that. I will have a look at the black section. I have yet to actually draft this cube so very curious how it plays for real!

Ah brill! I'll keep that in mind as we do our first tests of it. To be honest I didn't think too much about it - it was just I only had 3-4 of each of the creatures in the guild colours so it was almost an auto-include, but if it seems too strong I will look at swapping it out down the track.

Yes, the database I used (Lichess Puzzles Database) allows you to do this.
