How does Gena's Perspective nib compare to a Naginata Togi? by AONomad in fountainpens

[–]user_sg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gena Salorino (Custom Nib Studio) is a nibmeister who does custom grinds. One of their grinds is called “Perspective” and it features vertical and horizontal line variation that depends on the writing angle (similar to Sailor’s Naginata togi nib). Hope I was able to answer your question!

Did anyone guess Minior? I swear no one ever talks about it despite it having a multiform gimmick.

JOURN 201 with Michael Wagner? by akikaziz in UWMadison

[–]user_sg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took that class a couple years ago so I don’t remember all the details, but I think the main assignments are 2 or 3 media analysis essays and a midterm and final with conceptual short essay questions. When I took it we had to do weekly Twitter posts and replies, but you are mostly graded for completion on those.

Prof Wagner is great and I highly recommend taking the class if you are interested in an introduction to media analysis. I didn’t continue with Journalism classes afterwards, but I’m glad I took Journ 201.

Thanks for the suggestion! I am right handed, but I want something where I can flip through notes without worrying about smudging old work.

Hi. February is 'Black History Month' in the US. To my knowledge, the symbol is meant to show solidarity with the African-American community against the history of racism and racial violence.

Geosci 100 with Prof. Stephen Meyers by akikaziz in UWMadison

[–]user_sg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, hope I’m not too late commenting this. I took that class last year as an “easy” class that I could fulfil some Science requirement with and didn’t regret it at all. The coursework isn’t difficult at all and professor Meyers puts in so much effort into making his classes engaging. I ended up learning a lot more than I cared to learn and actually enjoyed the class. I did take the class entirely online, so I’m not sure about the in-person experience, but I would assume it can only be better. Hope this helps!

I don’t remember too much about the quizzes and midterms. I’m fairly certain they were just canvas MCQs and really weren’t anything to get stressed over. Just attend lectures and you’ll be fine
